Vista is solid, Vista Media Center is incredible and worth the upgrade by itself. Its nice that you like your Mac OS more than Vista, but I really don't care what some 12 year old thinks. I want to see your Mac to be used as a Media Center PC, with free Tivo, DVR, and online content. I have been using windows Vista Home premium for 2 years on a AMD Athlon64 3000+@2Ghz sk 754 2GB DDR400 80Gb ExcelStor ATA133, AtiRadeon HD2600Pro 256Mb/128Bit, Gigabite K8NE-RH nForce4. As you can see it is not a high-end system and I have never had any problems, not even a blue screen.

Compared to Xp I can sens a lower frame rate in games (5% max)but i can enjoy DX10.

Vista has the same boot time (40s) and instalation time (20min) as Xp on my Pc.

As a long time user of Windows ( since 3.1 ) I can easily tell you why Mac destroys it.

If you let OS X sit idle, screensaver or not, after hours, you can go back and do what you need to do as if you never stopped.

On a windows? It goes down to a sluggish slow place that you have to end up rebooting to fix.

Mac = Pkg files

Windows = .dll files

OS X, alot easier to uninstall * drag and drop for the most part *

As a previous commenter stated, this kid is obviously a mac lover. I have a dual powerpc G5 with osx as well as a dual-core laptop running vista. I've had no major problems with either.

Based on the commercial, the people tested displayed a negative predisposition to Vista before they ever used it. All MS did was remove that and then have them us Vista.

Remember, Apple is the one that has to put down windows to sell their product. That says alot about them.

The reason I use vista however, is because it gives me DX10 and the ability to build my own system. Yet, with all it's increased protection from viruses, it's still very unstable, and I get many BSOD's. In addition, both the idea for "gadgets" (widgets) and the sidebar were stolen from Apple.
