@Amberitus just depends on which physics engine you tell OS to run with and which version of that physics engine its using too. I read that users were having good results with the newest ODE which now comes with the newest release of OS so should get these results that are in video with it.
I don't mean to be negative, but all you have done is shot about 150 prim in the air by making things physical. These are all building prims with no alterations. I really fail to see the difference in this and an SL sandbox.
@stephanys1 Well I agree it doesn't take any special skill or anything like that, but one big difference is in SL I would never be able to go to that sand box again. Most folks get upset with a hundred or more prims bombing everyone. Also far too much lag on SL for stuff like this.
There's no rules stating you "can't" do this but Second-Life is a dictatorship ran on shaky grounds, and as the OP said the lag on the server just from that small bit wouldn't take it well.
It's the reason some of us are moving to Hero'sCloud/OpenSim/Blue Mars for a chance to use virtual platforms as they were meant to be used, a place to experiment and conduct activities to your liking.
I want to know what has happened to OpenSim physics. If I tried this now, all my blocks would sink into the ground.

@stephanys1
They'd get ban/ared faster than you can say "wallop" if they did this anywhere in the second life sandboxes, especially with land barons.
Which defeats the entire purpose of a sandbox anyway if you can't do anything else but build blocks :)
