The city of neworleans signed a 75 year lease with Six Flags and the damage to the buildings were over 80% so they tried to bail out on the lease but the city is holding them to it. I gues they are just going to let it sit which is sad because as a child I had so much fun in this park my family and friends would get season passes every year I wish they would come back and reopen.

ok here it is. No, no one was there. They do not keep the park open when something like a hurricane is headed their way. In a bad storm Down in Texas we shut down. If it gets real bad like flooded by Johnson Creek The park is closed for the day or a couple of days. Certain Rides do not reopen to be checked on.

the pak will be opened before the end of the season. This happens at six flags all the time. THAT LITTLE LAKE UNDER NINJA IS MAN MADE NO WATER RUNS INTO IT. THIS IS FROM THE CHATAHOOHIE RIVER RIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PARKING LOT OFF OF 285. The rides will be fine after some repairs. the park will be back up and running in a few weeks. Like I said this is not the first time this has happened.

No... It does happen. Yearly floods wreak havoc on the park every year. "Basically, this happens every time the Chattahoochie floods. SFoG is partially built in a flood plain. The front parts of the park, where Mindbender sits, and the Lickskillet area are prone to flooding. We've dealt with this before, and we'll recover."

I guess the cause of this is that small lake underneath the Ninja flooding over. I guess the Scream Machine (that wooden roller coaster at the end of the vid) probably won't be coming back next year...what a shame.
