I used to like the series because as cliche and ridiculous as it was, I found it to be romantic for the simple fact that these two characters are just that dedicated to each other. Also, I WAS in fact 13 when I started reading it, so of course it was a bit easy for me to get sucked into.

Basically, the lead character has no personality, so the reader puts their own personality on her since they want all these wonderful things to happen to them, and Edward is never described properly, so they can also place what they find physically attractive on him. I totally agree with you 100%. I read the first and second books thinking if it got better by the second book I would keep reading. I refuse to read the third and fourth books. It's annoying how I apparently have to get a lecture every time someone mentions Twilight to me and I say I don't like it. I kind of get why other girls are so obsessed with it with Edward being so perfect and such, but it's just annoying to me. If my sis watches the movies I'll pay attention every once in a while becaus

Basically, the lead character has no personality, so the reader puts their own personality on her since they want all these wonderful things to happen to them, and Edward is never described properly, so they can also place what they find physically attractive on him. That's at least why Squealing teenage Virgin girls like it. :P
I have yet to find out why all the other fans do as well.

Um...Twilight has the quality of a below average fanfiction. Stephanie (OR however you spell her name) wrote it about a dream she had. Honestly, I could care less about this wannabe-literate girl, but the fanbase is f*cked up. Apart from that, there's annoying grammar mistakes, plot-holes ect.

Twilight is about two people falling in love and Bella having to choose Edward or Jacob and how nothing matters to Bella then being with Edward and how strong the bond is between them that nothing could break them apart and the guys in Twilight are just hot .... well not all of them so dont hate on Twilight its the most epic romance since Titanic!!!

I haven't read the books, but the movies are terrible enough in my opinion. The vampire lore they use sucks, no pun intended.. and the acting and pacing isn't good either.. Also, I think Bella is a very boring and weak minded lead female.
