  • I won't buy car froma bankrupt car maker, that's really an insult doing so

  • I may consider buying the regal GS. I drove a lower end one that actually caught my attention. I now own a bmw 323i and love it. The steering was actually tighter than my car. The one big turn off for me is the plastic chrom in the rear. Over all im happy buick is heading in the right direction.

  • Basically Its a Saab 9-3. (RIP Saab)

  • @valerity1987 It's a fucking Buick. They're made for comfort and durability. Not speed. Go buy a car that is made for speed. Bet its ride sucks.

  • Yet is is still slow as a snail

  • @valeriy1987 Slow by what standards?

  • This jackass really has something against enthusiasts

  • @magi115 He has something against jackass enthusiasts.

  • 3 Weeks in to my Turbo Carbon Black manual tranny Turbo. Love this car. Fun on back roads (Sport Mode), and very comfortable easy drive on highway (Tour Mode). First trip at constant 75 mph almost 300 miles got 34.1 MPG, on way back (same tank of gas) at 80 mph got 33.4 MPG. Best car I found with manual tranny loaded between $30-35K, I think I drove them all in the 6 months I shopped.

  • Beats Chrysler 200 hands down in looks alone!

  • @1bentley4ever oh yah the 200 for sure!

  • Sweet.

  • @AutolineDetroit You say that enthusiasts don't buy Buicks? Wouldn't that just mean Buick has failed at their biggest goal? Which is to bring new (younger) customers to the brand and stop relying on the old guard for sales. If they are going to bring a performance oriented Opel sedan to the states as a Buick why not keep it performance oriented? The Verano and LaCrosse are the cars for the non-enthusiasts, the Regal is not.

  • I think people are remembering the late 80's Regal Turbo (Grand National), and of course they will be disappointed. The new Regal doesn't have anywhere near the performance the GN has. But then, that wasn't Buick's intention.

  • @swinglow33 If enthusiasts don't think the Buick Regal Turbo isn't up to par, then they should just buy a BMW 328i. It will be more of their sort of car than the Regal.

  • @1bentley4ever I traded in my 325i for the Turbo Regal. And I like it a hell of a lot better than my BMW. Believe me, the Regal is up to par alright.

  • There are no Buick enthusiast's who would consider buying a car made after 87.

  • the gas mileage of this car is bullshit, they might as well just put a v6 in.

  • I tell u what. I currently drive an 02 sentra spec v. It's lowered and rides like crap. Love it to death. This I could love it and live with it. And it looks great.

  • I agree. The fact that Buick has a turbo in a great looking package is good enough for me.

  • @miami428 I agree. This car is on my list as a possible buy. I'm so sick of reading articles and hearing comments from enthusiasts about the performance of cars. They expect every car to have the performance of a Ferrari. In reality, the enthusiast accounts for less than 5% of the car buying public. Most people aren't gonna go out and drive Mountain switchbacks at 3x the posted speed. Most people don't need to get from 0-60mph in under 5 seconds. That just wastes gasoline.

  • @juscurious Don't know if you have bought the car or test drove it yet, but it was a bit small for my liking. Maybe that's just a characteristic of a sports car. But I love love love the 2011/12 Lacrosse. Now that my friend is a lovely vehicle!

  • @juscurious Bought a Regal Turbo in july for driving to work...excellent ride, drive, and handling....the turbo gives it enough kick on the freeway to keep up with traffic..all th while gettting 30 mpg, actually love drivng to work now!

  • @juscurious - You're a total nerd. This is Buick weak attempt to compete with the sports sedan market. Of course the enthusiasts are going to be hard on this car, it lacks what it claims to be. If you don't care about the characteristics of this car, buy a Camay and shut up.

  • @miami428 Same here. I own it. I love. Traded in a BMW 325I for it. Best choice I could've made. Good enough for me too, and then some! I'm over 30, but under 40...I don't need or want a race car. The Turbo Regal has been ideal.

  • Makes sense to me...it might not make the enthusiasts giddy but someone looking for comfort and performance will find it satisfying.
