Question about 3d models... On a helicopter for example, can you make the rotors move?

if I were you, i would forget about a 3-d helicopter, and just buy a toy one, and stop-motion animate the rotors against a green screen. Just a suggestion

Cut the top rotors off the model and put them in a second layer, parent or match them to the helicopter model. Then do the same for the back rotors. Set the top rotors to pivot at their centre point around the up down axis (y in lightwave) and the rear rotors to pivot around the z axis.

Set a keyframe for the rotors at frame 1 and rotate it fully 360 degrees and key frame that at frame 2 (or 3). set this to continue and add motion blur to your renders.

I agree. Example, short 15-20 second clip... "Hi I'm Max, aka Hazonku & my tip is how to do..." Then cut to you guys showing the tip & a test film or something. If they're full video is Indy Mogul quality or better by all means let the viewer have their screen time but we're all tired of cranking the volume to hear a 10 yr old on their cheap mic & then getting blasted by the regular Indy Mogul audio. No offense kids, my mics & webcam suck too. LOL.

Wow. These are for beginners. 4 Minute Film School videos have always been high quality tutorials. These were basic FYIs. I now know Google ripped off Blender.

I started out with 3D Max in high school and use Maya for indy films! Come on. Give us something with meat on it. How about doing one on color correction. ie: shooting day for night Some don't know about that.

Same thing with the sound suggestion. Basic. For sound ideas read Ben Burtt interviews.
