HEy you all can still move back :) Been here 35 yrs is home not leaving.....infact today is 75 degrees and the good ole ocean breeze... the other half of the USA is in triple digit numbers... horrible heat... So get back here :)
I miss Lompoc so very much, we lived at 282 Pegasus Ave, in Lompoc, my dad worked at Vandenburg AFB, (SPELLING!) we moved back to my mum & dads birthplace, Suffolk, England, in 1973, my dad though, went to Saudi Arabia, and worked for Northrop, on the F-5 Freedom Fighter, he died there in 1986. When we where in Lompoc, he was in the Packard Owners Club, and won some first place troughies, as he also used to restore classic cars. Would love to here from someone in Lompoc, texanbob2you@yahoo.com
DAMN, this brings back memories from when I was stationed at Vandenberg in the late 80's. My poor Fairmont had an interesting time making it up the hill as shown in the beginning of this video!
@jawz117 I agree Bro i was forced to move to Missouri at age of 4. I go every year to visit Lompoc and I miss it there so much. Everytime i think of memories of Lompoc I get severly depressed and Tear up. People can laugh all they want but life sucks dick in Missouri...
I'm from U.K. and I used to drive from Lompoc to Santa Maria every day to work at the Landmark Restaurant 1989... thanks for the video, it broght back nice memories! :)
@kernowrock555 When I was stationed at Vendenberg my Friday and Saturday Night outing was to stop into the Landmark and have a few glasses of wine in the lounge. I remember this blonde waitress that worked there. She was great! Cant remember her name but remember her face.
@MSTLOM I was there 20 years ago, but theres only one I remember... Mary-Beth, witha southern accent.So...you are well educated to our speciality.... Santa Maria Style Barbeque......( the best in the world!)
@kernowrock555 When I went to the Landmark it was just to relax with a few glasses of Wine and listen to the live music in the Lounge. I never did the BBQ thing. As I recall the waitress did have a little bit of an accent. She was about 5' 8" and slender with medium length blonde wavy hair. If I were to see a picture of her as she was at that time I think I would recognize her.
Lompoc is such a dead and boring place
