Them dodge trucks have solid engines but sound pretty gay. All they do is growle ford and chevs at least go from a jet engine sounds 2 a rank barking sound when u punch it. Dodge sounds so dull.

@mrpoloist I'd love to know why I wrote that comment, but I like the sound of a compression ignition V8 better than the common rail Cummins.

I drive a 7.3 Power Stroke now and it's straight piped. Love the sound at about 1800 rpm.

And yes, the 47RE trans is probably the worst ever put behind a diesel and the 48RE is slightly improved but not much better. The 68RFE is fine with a bit of tuning, but they should have used the Aisin 6 speed in all the trucks.
