  • wow! creepy... i try to sing from my diaphram now that I know what it is...

  • This is great, thanks for creating this video.

  • really helpful

  • Who would dislike this? It's your body for crying out loud!

  • @dpain0

probably the shitty explanation and visuals?

  • @2glam4aUsername He said for more info, visit X site. This was a brief demonstration. For 1 minute, it encompasses enough to get a basic understanding, which is what it is intended for. The visuals are done just so one can see how the muscle would work and nothing else. This is not shitty, by any stretch of the imagination.

  • Yes your abdomen SHOULD expand when breathing, it's not an optical illusion! The diaphragm moving down moves the intestines down and outwards. If only your ribs move, you are not breathing properly or efficiently.

  • I still dont get it :c are your lungs supposed to expand whilst doing this? When i inhale, my stomach expands, like gets bloated, but my lungs dont expand. I also heard that your chest shouldnt rise which will happen if u expand your lungs. Someone please, please help!

  • @Bludhoundz8 Yes, your lungs expand every time you take a breath because you are taking in air. Your stomach only looks like it's expanding because your rib cage is flexible and moving with the diaphragm (which we see in the video). It's really kind of an optical illusion but your stomach isn't expanding. The reason you don't see your lungs expand is because the rib cage is being moved for your lungs to bloat with air.

  • Does this make anyone else feel sick? All these vids talking about doing weird shit to my diaphragm makes me feel queezy lol

  • i never knew the diaphragm actually existed?? i've been always trying to use my "diaphragm" for singing but never could, so i thought the diaphragm was imaginary lol

  • Why cant they teach us this stuff at school instead of the bullshit we get everyday.. BTW since i learned how to use it during screaming vocals my voice feels a whole lot better!!!

  • that just looks ewwwwwww \

and how do you use it when singing grrrr

  • @deathrum99 When you sing you gotta breath in and your stomach should be filling with air and when you do you sing the words but at the same time you breath the air out like.. You sing the words and very little air comes out but when you breath out while singing your making all that air from ur body escape alot more and will have to breath again soon but its the correct way to sing - hope this was helpful
