  • mg caleb's voice it's just sooo sexy

  • this song is amazing

  • As close to a perfect song as you can get .

  • The drum hits Nathan plays while Caleb's singing at 3:08 just sound unbelievably sick! Wish they had that on the album

  • If music was TNT, they'd measure this in megatons.

  • wow. i remember watching this video this time last year while waiting for come around sundown, and was blown away by this. i didn't care much for come around sundown when i got it, but i still absolutely love this song.

    oh you shld listen to

    Lolayers " nearly home"

she is great , she writes produces everything , shes sexy and to top it all the chick rocks ! guitarrrrrrr

  • they will never be mainstream. they are too good for that. theyve just gotten bigger.. can you blame so many people for liking them? they are great and deserve their success greatly.

  • @kavinsky92 do you even know the definition of mainstream? the fact that they are generally liked by the public in a popular music genre is what makes them mainstream. they're awesome, and they're mainstream

  • @kavinsky92 they have music videos on MTV and VH1. That is about as mainstreem as you can get. Their not even creative or anything. they are Mini cinematic adventures mixed w/ clips of them Lip singing, just like every other MAINSTREAM artist.

  • @RRyyNNee fuck this guy

  • @RRyyNNee man im from tennessee and when you see them play live front row at the bonnaroo music and arts festival( which is literally about 20 minutes from where there families live in this great state) you can tell why they are doing what they're doing. they are just southern and using it to there advantage. they just love making music, especially when they get to play it at home with us. i met there fuckin babysitter while waiting tables in chattanooga.

  • @chattownelectro423 I didn't say that they aren't good or didn't enjoy playing their music. Somebody said that they ARE NOT mainstream and i was just disagreeing. Try to actually read the comments before you reply....

  • @chattownelectro423 Did you say Chattanooga? Hi Homie....!!! I would say KOL, the Hold Steady and at one time, Drive-By Truckers were the few keeping music authentic, in the current era....

  • Every1 needs to stress less who cares who KOL write there music for they are fukin AWESOME either way, celebrate that!!!

  • Didnt like the new album first listen.. now i think its ace :-) kol are a great band.

  • @itsjusmac1974 Same :)

  • cool!!

    Chloe :)

  • @SonicProvocateur Are you sure that actually happened? The record label stuff I mean?

  • Who really cares if an artist is down to earth? I'd rather they were arrogant arseholes and brought out good music ie there first few albums than be down to earth guys and bring out this dribble.

  • Why must people always turn something as simple as enjoying the work of a talented band into an opportunity to incite some sort of debate?

Come on... Just celebrate the music...

  • @the1u4got Pardon my shit storm but I'd like to reclaim my conclusion.

Their sound is targeted towards a group of people. Music should not be a creation with a sought after audience, KoL last two albums obviously targeted an audience. Someone does not write pop that catchy without intending to.

Therefore, KoL are not making music for the sake of music, but for attention and to reach a wider audience. This is not a crime, just a example of a band being 'sellouts' for a lack of a better term.

  • @lucamorellato Do you know why? It's because After Youth And Young Manhood, the record label told them to lose their Southern sound that everyone loved and now they are just another bullshit band. I'll never buy another KOL record again...and I bought the first 2 on vinyl AT THEIR SHOWS FUCKIN PARTYING WITH THEM!

  • @lucamorellato I dont think you fully understand what it means to be "sellouts". They are obviously not sellouts because having read bios about their music and upbringing, they were born and raised in a pentecostal family where they toured around with their father (a preacher) for a good part of their life to attend his revival sessions. This album is all about returning to their roots and reliving their experiences as religious wanderers (i.e. southbound, no money, pickup truck).

  • @lucamorellato Look man, I'm not trying to say that KOL created an entirely new sound, I'm simply saying in their genre which is just normal rock, they have evolved more than most bands. You say they're sellouts because their music targets a certain audience but lets just be real man, EVERY band targets a certain audience. No one single band is loved by every sort of person, thats why we have genre's. If you actually followed KOL you'd know their aim is not fame, just wanting to make good music.

  • @lucamorellato Honestly I don't disagree with you on those bands being more revolutionary with their sound; I love them all. I'm just saying to basically put KOL in the same category as you would a boy band, just a bunch of guys looking to score chicks and money and magazine covers, is completely ridiculous. Watch their interviews and everyone of them Caleb says if he writes a song he thinks everyone will love, he doesn't want it on the album. Does that really sound like a sellout? Come on.

  • @the1u4got There sound is excrutiatingly popular. Why else are they chart topping? They infuse radio-friendly rock with Americana themes and obvious U2 and Coldplay theft. I never claimed only unknown music is good so I will ignore you attempts to undermine my statements as they are fallacious.

Music is not for the masses. Music is for creation, the number of people does not come into the equation. Once a target audience comes into the picture you are no longer making music, but making product.

  • @lucamorellato

dude, you need to get off of your high horse and just listen to this: good music is good music, no matter if it's geared toward a certain audience, artists make art to incite discussion and present alternative points of view. it's vital ,as a successful artist, to cater to their audience's needs to some capacity because their audience is part of their canvas --also stop being so pedantic, you sound like a prick. KOL's the cat's pajamas.

  • @sj289 Overly pendantic? I am simply stating obvious fact, their is no formality checking here. Good music is good music regardless of the audience sure. But big audience does not entail good music. That is the case here, sorry. Bad music.

  • @the1u4got Other mainstream rock bands that have evolved much more: The Black Keys, they took a old sound and made it their own. Something Kings of Leon fail to do. Pheonix, are amazing, crafted pop-music with dance music with indie and rock, they are the defiintion of change. Vampire Weekend used african and carribean infused sounds to play american style pop, that is innovation or change regardless of its prior influence. I am not some sort of musical occultist, Kings of Leon are not original.

  • @lucamorellato Why don't you just quit listening to them......and go away.

  • @maryvirginiahughes I obviously did quit listening, and went away.... you commenting brought me back here, with a fresh email and all... vicious cycle. I am at risk of trolling here so I will end there.

  • @the1u4got If you only listened to 'rock' radio, or watched MTV then yes, you would here Kings alot, very often. I am not stating that you must be unknown or revolutionary to be rock music, you are knit-picking my statements to develope a weak arguement. I am simply saying that Kings of Leon have done little revolutionizing. In all reality, very few bands have done anything original, pop-music as a whole is a cyclical thing. But Kings are exceptionally unoriginal.

  • I was at this show, front row on the other side of you. I wish people would shut the hell up when they are playing. WHO PAYS MONEY TO COME TO A SHOW AND TALK?? It's disrespectful to the band and to those who came to hear music. SHUT THE HELL UP DURING THE PERFORMANCE!

  • i was definitely there :)

    this is a great song

  • Comment removed

  • @TheAuburnwolfe I know they are happy for anyone getting to hear them whenever they can good music is not common anymore ...so when there is a good band such as KOL it needs to be heard regardless of when or how the heard of them :)

  • @faewrie new album is incredible, my favourite yet

  • @faewrie well atleast it got 4/5 of rolling stone :D thats as good rating as the gave Becaous o fthe time and youth and young manhood :D

  • @faewrie Matthew is not the drummer! Nathan is the drummer, dope.

  • @DaJonoFunz OMG hahaha i am sucha dick,,, and how about you dont be so rude maybe? yeah? good. its all for the love of good music.

    matthew,,, crikey, my bad...

  • @faewrie lol he wasnt being "rude", he was just using dope in the context of silly. why so uptight for - if it was for the love of good music you wouldn't be so anal about it. yeah? good.

  • @sqealingpig oh must be a location thing,,, dope in these here parts is rude... came across as rude,,, again my bad. good? yeah real good ;)

  • @sqealingpig ps i dont mean to sound like a douche lol its just the way things translate on the ole puter machines...

  • @adelaa01 yea because of the times is their best album. fuckin awesome. but all of their albums r good

  • also my favorite song! 1 st albulm rocks though..my favorite of all!

  • fav song of the new cd!

  • Let's be real for a moment, they're singing about things they grew up with. Mainstream? Ya at one point I thought they went a little commercial but from reading up about things behind the scenes I know why they sound the way they do now. It's called Jared. And it's all called being real. Best band in the world today - Bar None!!

  • @Rodtanned Best band in the world.

  • @Rodtanned What do you mean, it's called Jared? Do you think he's in charge of the band, or something like that? I'm confused...

  • alexmascart2: If you actually knew them you would know they were famous in England and other parts of the world first before they were famous here And actually the song MOlly's CHambers was written by them and was their first big hit. Plus they don't really give a shit about being famous here in the states cause they know most of the fans like you don't really understand them or their music

  • Super Awesome Rock Band *****5/5*****4 All

  • ugh i wish i could still enjoy kings of leon but theyre just not what they used to be. still solid with some great tracks, and i wasnt even a fan from the beginning but i liked their old stuff more and their general attitude just bugs me, i dont know what it is. and i have so many great memories linked with their songs. somebody tell me what happened!

  • Great song!!!!

  • hey camera man, next time each group member, dont hog caleb ya bum

  • **New song** Kings of Leon - Pick up truck (High quality audio)

    youtube.com/watch?v=5jYzVzXCm88

  • @Buterfli2110

    Theyre good-but quit whining !

  • @northcountrybandtube I'm not whinning. I just hate when people who don't like KoL watch a video of theirs and then bad mouth them. If you don't like them why watch their video? I am just very passionate about music, obviously KoL especially, so I'm sorry if it seems like I am whinning. I just want to support them just like the haters want to hate them!

  • i listen to them and i get speechless, nothing needs to be said wen u hear them. they say it all.

  • These Guys will Always Surprise me with there Great Lyrics, and Brillant Song making Abilities. Also They Are Some Of The Most Down To Earth Guys, You'd Ever Meet.

  • @flyinfish19 parden my french but.. how would u know

  • Fucking brilliant!!

  • INCREDIBLE!!!! THEY ARE BRINGING BACK REAL ROCK!!!

  • i hate the shit ur hear now that because kings of leon have got as far as they re that ur not a real fan. Ive loved hem from the start and hope they just keep getting bigger and bigger. U cud listen 2 Caleb's voice for days!!!!!!!!!

  • it's not that they sold out, they just kept their sound current. it wouldn't make sense for them to keep playing grunge when grunge was on it's way out. they're better musicians now than they used to be

  • i love them since "youth an young manhood"

  • Kings of Leon, I've a man crush on these men and I'm not ashamed!!, just don't tell my girlfriend, ............or my mother!

  • Kings of Leon, I've a man crush on these men and I'm not ashamed!!, just don't tell my girlfriend, ............or my mother!

  • one of my favorite songs from come around sundown.

it took time to get used to this album b/c on the first listen, some of the songs sounded alike

i'm defintely glad i bought it though

  • @portugalsgal24

    Me too. Great song

  • whos playing the piano?

  • Each album that comes out is better than the one before, they are just great! : O

  • exactly!! their music is brilliant

  • Its funny that people are calling them sell outs and saying they prefer their old stuff when KOL themselves say that many songs on this album are either ones they started writing after aha shake or ones that never made it onto previous albums that theyve finally got chance to record properly.

  • Kings of Leon has evolved more than any band in recent history and its brilliant. . The whole point of being in music and any profession in life for that matter is to evolve and find new ways of doing things. If you have the same sound for 15 years your not only boring and redundant but you come across as lazy. Kings of Leon is one of the few bands I know that hasn't become comfortable with their success. They know what it means to work hard and get better. If thats selling out so be it.

  • @the1u4got Fail. I am sorry... Do you only listen to the radio and watch MTV? Animal Collective has advanced their sound in 3 albums more then KoL could dream. Panda Bear, basically created a genre. Wavves, has changed sounds in 2 albums. Titus Andronicus recreated classic rock for today. Ponytail has over 8 albums, and none of them sound the same. Deerhunter, has changed their sound from punk to shoegazey rock. Deerhunter represents rock and roll of today. KoL do not. Sorry.

  • @lucamorellato I'm sorry....if I only listened to radio and watched MTV would Kings of Leon really be the band I would be hearing? Seriously man, if your going to accuse me of being a simple pop fan pick a more popular band than KOL. Also, I never said KOL created a previously unknown genre like your little bands that no one has ever heard of apparently has. I just said amongst most well known rock bands in recent history they have evolved way more. Being unknown doesn't make you "true rock".

  • @the1u4got CHANGING your sound is not selling out. Changing your sound to capture the American market who is too dumb to latch on to their old sound like the british did, is selling out. Money + recordlabel x fanbase = sellout.

Nothing against creative change, but their was no creative change between Because of the Time (which I didn't mind) and now.

  • @lucamorellato I'm pretty sure they didn't change their sound to appeal to the american market because this sound is NOT popular. If you would climb out of your underground music world you would know a lot of these songs were being thought of during their first albums. And just because your idea of a real band is staying unknown and never being successful doesn't mean every band who actually WANTS to be heard is a sellout. You make music for the masses, not for your little underground cults.

  • @jadalulu

My standards for 'sell-outs' are when the record labels tell a band to take a certain direction in music in order to sell more. That's called creative control. Kings Of Leon definitely made and wrote Come Around Sundown, and it may not have been to gain more fans this time around. I admit that it is a much better album than Only By The Night, purely because that was made only to be radio friendly.

  • They are pretty good, it was just the last album that didn't do it for me

  • BEST SONG FROM COME AROUND SUNDOWN!!!

  • if you don't like their new sound, don't listen to their music ! you dont have to trash them. all bands update their sound, they are stil authentic and amazing and any tre kol fan would agree thumbs up if im right.

  • it's always the girls who are talking during these types of videos

  • in the last chorus, they should've changed "just so you know, i was thinking of you" to "just so you know, i was in love with you"

    it would've been perfect

  • @harryspoonpotter

I dont know how anyone could possibly call a KOL album "wank".... you are crazy! I hate how everyone keeps saying "oh they changed their sound...they're not the same band they were....they're too mainstream now"... IF THEY NEVER CHANGED THEIR SOUND THEN YOU WOULD COMPLAIN THAT ALL THEIR MUSIIC SOUNDS THE SAME.... ONLY TRUE KOL FANS LOVE ALL OF THEIR ALBUMS.

  • @1985tdot And the thing is if you really LISTEN to the music and forget all the hype and trash talk that's going on you can hear that their music hasn't really changed that much at all. It's like they have said, they have gotten better at playing their instruments. And that's all. It's still KoL. You just have to drown out the crowd and listen to them for yourself. It's their loss. I agree with you wholeheartedly. I am glad I am not they only one who know what it means to be a true fan.

  • this is the best track on the album, reminds a little bit about knocked up, so good!<3

  • what a song, i think best on the album

  • QAULITYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • trop cool tres bon sons instrumentals

    go les kings

  • What is this song about?? I have a hard time trying to figure out what their songs are about sometimes haha... But I love them to death, they will be my fave band forever!!! Calebs voice makes me weak in the knees ;).

  • @1985tdot Go to their website and watch their Come Around Sundown interviews...they explain alot about the songs on them.

  • Oh WOW, they actually sound better LIVE than on their albums!

  • I've always loved them from the moment I heard them. They are amazing to me :)

  • gota say, i am LOVIN the new kol album, jus like i loved all the others t b h- nice 2 finally hav a new album 2 jam 2- although i loved all the stuff b4- kol r doin ther thing, i dnt care who likes n dislike them since the release of the new album, cos im pretty sure they guna hav another multi-million sellin album, jus like obtn! u guys rock, keep it up!!! the new tracks r amazin,

  • @SuperKinkykim - I agree, I just Love them... Caleb voice is amazing......... They are one of my fave and right now I have to admit they are most likely the only music I listen since last year.. My cds have scratched I cant get enough............The absolute best

  • fantastic band, their new album is awesome. i love to hear great bands like this evolve their sound, nothing of theirs sounds stale

  • @tonyd3840 - good point, ppl complainin they sound diiff, n gon all commercial, but u make a good point, they r fresh, still classic kol sounds, but wiv a slight diff sound, ppl wud get bored if it all sounded totally the same!!!!!

  • wah wah wah. I swear whiny bitches make me want to stab myself in the ears. Except then I wouldn't be able to hear Followill greatness. "Sell outs"? Who in the hell decided what the standards were? If you can't recognize genius when you hear it, well....that would be your problem my friend.

  • personally I dont think it is getting better. Youth and Young manhood was great. Who can blame them though. Get paid while you can....

  • this sounds alot better than the album version

  • Comment removed

  • I'm not a person who says Kings of Leon has sold-out, but they have certainly become more radio-friendly. Maybe that was intentional and maybe it was just a natural evolution... I don't really care. I enjoy the new stuff, but I just hope everyone who is defending the latest albums have listened to Aha Shake Heartbreak and Youth and Young Manhood, because for me the last two haven't come anywhere close.

  • i disagree with people saying they`ve changed their sound.if all of their music sounded the same they`d be branded boring.i think they get better.i also think they`ve changed with experience.remember, they admit themselves they weren`t very good at their instruments in the early days so were very limited as to what they were able to play.now they`re a lot more experienced and know their instruments as well as play them, they are able to branch out more.

  • @neonangelbomb I said "It's NOT like they've sold out" , i.e., I don't think they have. I think this song is great!! I was just commenting on all the people who jumped on the "they've sold out" bandwagon

  • the true fans are the ones that were there at the begining, and will be there untill the very end! just enjoy KOL

  • I do not think that Kings of Leon are sellouts!!!! Yeah there older stuff i personally think is much better but still really like the new stuff. I don't think they had much choice but to go commercialised, if you want to make it in the music industry these days you gotta play to what the audience likes and these guys wanted to make it. Glad that they still play their old stuff as it is the originall fans that made them what they are in England today.

  • I already have Come around sundown..got it as an early pre-order. Good album, there's not really any blistering tracks per see but its solid

  • Haha no. If they stopped playing their old tunes all the fans that see them for what they really are would leave. Plus if they didn't play their old stuff people would be standing around at gigs and there would be no moshing.

  • in fairness, the way your music sounds changes naturally over time, it just happens this new sounds appeals to just about everybody. It's not like they've sold out though, if they had surely they'd stop playing all their old tunes?

  • @dudethekids The new sound reminds me to the old 50´s rock ballads, I melt. I dont know how to sound like that makes you a sold out

  • -released. The bottom line is that they've only gained popularity since they went commercial. They're not bad now - they're good for different reasons. But they ARE sellouts. End off.

  • I'm not blaming the band. They're all great musicians. But Kings Of Leon did not choose to take this new musical direction. If they did want to go a bit mellower - it certainly wouldn't sound like this. This all the work of their record companies.

Bottom line is, Kings Of Leon weren't very famous during the Youth And Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbeat eras. They started getting better known after Because Of The Times. And all of sudden their No. 1 everywhere after Only by the Night is rele
