chilly willy came in to zada janes tonight while i was eating with a friend - no worries, he's definitely still around charlotte! we hung out with him for a while and took him to harris teeter to get some food while he told us about being famous on youtube and playing the guitar by ear :) good times. praying for God's protection over him.

I used to run the loop around the lake at Freedom Park and half the time this guy would be sitting on a bench beside the sidewalk. He'd ask me for a buck EVERYTIME I passed him. When I wouldn't seehim on the bench he'd be eating with someone having a cook out. One day I didn't see him, but heard a band playing at the band shell there in the park - the band was playing a spooky version of Turn the Page - Chilly Willy was up on the stage singing the song. That was kind of cool.

Chilly is the MAN.I have had the pleasure of talking to chilly. No Cameras no guitar,and he was was sober. Chilly is a good guy, made some bad choices. A mechanic by trade, Chilly has dealt with incarceration,due to teh bad choices, the uptown crowd running him off, the death of his girlfriend ( faye) aka crystal,hit by a vehicle and killed. his fathers death. Chilly is homeless because he chooses to be, those are his words, and i respect that. Thank you for posting this video.
