  • ok protesting war is admirable.

Yoko ono still cant sing if her life depended on it.

I have to say its quite amusing though.

  • God bless you John and Yoko, and Thurston. RON PAUL 2008! War is Over, if you want it!

  • the worse they play, the better it sounds

  • Yoko Ono is a beautiful sexy lady. She has the grace of Audrey Hepburn, elegance of Jackie Keneddy Onasis, and beauty of Monroe ALL rolled into one package!!!

  • Unless you knew John or Yoko personally which is bloody unlikely it's a bit farfetched to say she was simply making a name for herself while with him.. and it's ludicrous to say she "killed" him - Lennon grew away from the mop top phase and took a stand against war and violence. What he did with Yoko, promoting peace is admirable. There should be more people like John and Yoko in the world.

  • mothersuperior, get a life. you´re jealous, that´s all. your life might be horrible, otherwise you wouldn´t be so bitter. war is over, if you want it.

  • actualy I am just a person who doesn't want to listen to some 74 year old woman put a microphone in her mouth and make weird noises, you can call as thought provoking and "real" as you want, but the truth is it's just another form of contemporary crap pulled out of the ass of somone making a name for herself through her dead husband who she killed long before he was murdered.

  • Take a very good look into yourself. Actually, forget that. The people here can see how black your heart is anyway.

  • jajaja you r right

  • that is exactly what she is doing. had she not been married to the talented Mr. Lennon, this video would never have seen the light of day.

  • yeah, but where would experimental rock be without her? i mean... would we even have a band like sonic youth?

  • what would have been the loss?

Anyone watching this that wasn't around in the late 60s should do their homework and read her story pre-Lennon.

  • um, sonic youth shaped a massive chunk of the musical landscape... things would be different without them. they were part of new york no wave, thusly directly inspired by yoko.

and i HAVE read her story, pre-lennon. she was a both a conceptual and performance artist, involved with fluxus.

maaaan, it's crazy that people hate this woman just because john lennon loved her. :\ that should be an admirable trait at least, even if you don't dig her art...

  • fag0tron - i'm with you on this!

she & sonic youth are super-important on modern indie & experimental music, which also feeds over to the mainstream - so basically both are musically important full-stop

    ;-)

its really sad that folks wanna use the internet to distribute their hate/negativity, especially through something so small (to the public) as personal opinion, which is what this la-de-da is all about.

    peace/enjoy

    ;-)

  • pump the jams, end all war.

    music calms the savage beast.

or rather communicates to help defend against bad suggestions

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, dude, should have gone to girl talk, soooo much better.
