Shade of green really has nothing to do with potency or quality. Ive seen light green bud that wasnt worth the smoke, and then turned around in the same room and smoked some darker green bud that gave me a 3 hour couch lock on the history channel. The shade of the flowers and leaves is due to the nutrients in the plant, like when you flush a plant 2 days before harvest sometimes the tips of the leaves will turn yellow, and that happens with multiple different strains.
