  • it sticks on my head it has become a daily song for me to wake up and get woke up!!

  • This song brings back the memories of my trip to Cape Town, South Africa. They used to play it in my favorite bar called "Zula". I met a dear friend there, Brennan. I miss all of that especially when I listen to that song. Good memories!

  • this song brings tears to my eyes when it breaks into the chorus. i just wanna sing along and be like

    HOLE MEH CLOSER TINY DANCER!!!!

  • What I hear in my head every time I listen to this: Hold me closer Tony Danza!

  • better than the album version, which like most of his music is overproduced.

  • best song writer ever!!!!!!!!

  • Wow he is unreal. Phenomenal singer and instrument player!

  • dubstep is crap you have missed sooo much

  • only good music now is dubstep?...

  • Holy shit I want that fucking shirt so BAD!

  • I wish music were still like this.. The only good music now is dubstep. IMHO.

  • Giong to my first Elton John Concert on Feb 3 in San Jose, Costa Rica ... counting the days cant wait yupeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Hope he sings this its my most favorite of his songs.. so many good memories Thank you Elton John for coming to Costa Rica!

  • I wish i had more access to instruments, more room to play, and a tiny dancer spinning inspiration out like the notes im hearing right now

  • Deadmau5's singing head brought me here

  • I am two-and-a-half years old, and I prefer this old music to the sh-t they play in my preschool.

  • @tantzer this is probably cleaner...

  • @tantzer FUCK THE ABCs!

  • Byron, remember that Turnpike rest stop in Ohio in 72. We both were young and in love. Now we're old and out of touch all because of Louis. Byron even though you were big, you'll always be my tiny dancer. Hold me close Byron. Take me over the picnic table one last time. You owe me that much ganish.

  • Beautiful live performance, playing and singing like that. What a talent. Elton was/is an amazing pop artist.

  • elton is into bbc

  • i can't get over how beautiful his voice is!

  • Being honest with you im a black male, been in all the things you can imagine, but this is a bad ass song, makes my day.Piano giant cant no one out play this guy

  • Oh My...

  • Fours he wear a toupe?

  • He's my piano teacher. Long live Sir Elton John!

  • @ellenfilms OMG LUCKY!! lol. i doubt it, but it would be EPIC IF HE WAS MY PIANO TEACHER, OR ANYONES FOR THAT MATTER

  • please make music videos!!!!!

  • Im 12, I wish I was born in the 1820's. Things were different then. Not like it is today.

  • I'm 15 years old, and this is on my ipod. :]

  • 43 people can go jump.

  • Hold me closer, Tony Danza

  • I'm in my dads ball sack and I love this song.

  • The artist deadmau5 made his own version of this called some chords

  • @Thesniperslayer1 yeah and dubstep is one of the genres making todays music even shittier than it already is

  • This is 201% better than that over-rated Dubstep crap.

  • how could you dislike this

  • People talk about "Era's" as if the young kids who grow up in them are responsible for things being the way they are, but that isn't true.

The kids don't decide what clothes they get to wear. The adults who design them do, and the same goes for music, food, and everything else.

  • Not rubbish your ears must be outtuned...The song is plain and simple.

  • After listening to the words of this song one can only say what were you smoking elton this song is rubbish and yes I am from this era.

  • Awesome

  • dude everyone needs to stop complaining about being born in the wrong era. if you want good music than MAKE IT

  • @flufffyman Its not that simple. If it was, the music would still be good as it was before.

  • @azaug wtf are u talkn about go to bed kid Elton John is a true musician listen up kid! Yo yo nigga this nigga that pshhhhh kids

  • Heard this live tonight. Elton is still Amazing!!!

  • @sexyandhealthy Yup, we were there, too. Blaisdell Arena, Honolulu. Fourth row seats, next to Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. Elton dedicated "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" to Vedder, who was there with his wife and young kids. Awesome concert!

  • The crappy thing is, is that not only is music these days some untalented prick pressing his ass against a mic and calling it art, but EVERYTHING was better back then.

  • woah, coming back onto a song and having a top comment (Y) :D

  • My brother walks into my room.

"Hey, the 70s called, they want their music back."

    "I'm not giving it back!"

  • @risebreakingthenight Elton's catalogue of songs from the seventies is astonishing. 'Eldeberry Wine', 'Mona lisas and Mad Hatters'. relatively obscure songs but brilliant, and of course his masterpiece, album, 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road'. One classic after another.

  • The piano in this song is just wonderful. Elton John is just phenomenal. He's so talented and he delivers it so well. He's a musical genius. And just wonderful all around. One of my heroes, truly -3

  • Fantastic! this is timeless music. what a talent elton john is.

  • Thumbs up if you listening to this incredible song/performance in 2012!! =)

  • I won't even lie, the first time I was exposed to this song was during the bus sequence in "Almost Famous". I'm 37 now, and this is still one of the most powerful songs that I will always listen to. Hate every cover of it, no one can do this nearly as good as the man who meant it the most.

  • I will always love this song

  • This man is the most talented singer I've ever seen. Music has gone to shit.

  • I'm 19. And in 1971 my parents were nearly in their youth and noone thought of me. But the only thing I can say by seeing this: I wish nothing more than living in the 60s, 70s and 80s. That was music from the bottom of the heart. At this time the music industry was not like that it is used to be today..to all justin biebers, flo ridas, jay- zs and who evers out there...TAKE A FUCKING LOOK AT THIS! excuse my english, i hope you know what i mean!

  • @fender29111992 Your a cool dude!

  • Comment removed

  • @fender29111992 they probably know this track, if not this one then another elton one, and take jay out of that list, you clearly havnt heard his beats, hes all about the old school samples and old school rnb jams, he knows music.

  • @fender29111992 I do!

  • @fender29111992 I know what ya mean <. <

  • @fender29111992 you forgot the 90's... 90's rock was music from the bottom of the heart as well.

  • @fender29111992 Very well spoken!!!

  • @fender29111992 You´re rigtht. But if you look closely you can find still today bands who make music from the bottom of their hearts... I don´t prefer living in the past.

  • @fender29111992 are u a tiny dancer?

  • @fender29111992 i wish i could take my money now and go back in that time.

  • @fender29111992 I'm 20 and I feel the same way. There was so much love in the atmosphere. A lot of the music like rap nowadays, can be heavily superficial, although some rap comes a lot from the heart, but usually reflects on the darker aspects of the american dream. If i could travel back to any time, I would probably travel back to this era. The most beautiful thing about the 60s was the love.

  • @fender29111992 Jay-Z is actually pretty damn talented. The rest of them not so much.

  • @BeezyKid

Jay-Z's take on the birth of his daughter has no comparrison to Stevie Wonders' " Isnt She Lovely"1 NE 1 agree?

  • @fender29111992 word.

  • i remember my mom forcing me to take piano lessons as a kid...unfortunatey back then i didnt think piano was cool at all....after watching this i want to learn piano again!

  • Just brilliance.......... This man has more talent in his big toe than most of us could ever hope for!

  • This is true talent! Who cares what his sexual orientation is? He is a talented, generous, good hearted PERSON. In a world of haters the generous goodhearted part is what really matters and the talented part is just a huge GIFT! Cant we just appreciate that? I have loved ELTON since I was A child and I love him just because he is ELTON!

  • were the hell did music go

  • i lalalala love this songgggg :) my brother got me into Elton John :)

  • I had to create a acount just so i can say i love this song on the comments :)

  • I like Your Song a bit better. Two great songs. This one is about a California band groupie.

  • I listen to this song every day on my i pod.All I can say is that having a voice like Elton John is a God given gift.If You tubers have noticed, I left a lot of comments about Elton. My dream now is to meet him! Please vote up this comment!

  • This song is a classic and amazing, I wish i grew up with more of this instead of all this swearing rap... I would pick this over any of the rap song with out a second thought...

  • The best moment of 2011, power went out from a storm I had a transitor radio this song came on, my whole family sang this song verbatim. My daughter's was only 15 knew every word, love me some elton john. xoxo

  • This song was dedicated to my mother at her funeral 3 years ago.. She was my tiny dancer.. You make such beautiful music Elton John..

  • Elton rips it!!

  • what a talented dude

  • It is safe to say, I was born in the wrong era

  • @FROGvTOAD i know the feeling :p

  • @FROGvTOAD YA ME TOO.

  • @FROGvTOAD I totally feel you man. I think I lived back then and died young. I feel past ties to this era. Now Im here in a new life which is not bad but, its hard to relate to for me.

  • Hold me closer Tony Danza!

  • Alway puts a smile on my face... love this song!! Thanks Elton John..Who gives a fuck if you like dick!! I love your voice

  • The 70's were cooler.

  • Elton John's music was much better when he was coked up FACT

  • @noahkrawitz21 yeah, and the older generation always holds up THEIR shitty music on some kind of pedestal. Not saying Elton John isn't a fucking god.

  • @noahkrawitz21 yeah. And the generation before always holds up THEIR Z

  • same here dude, im a metal head as well, but Elton John is a fucking monster man

  • Hold me closer Tony Danza!

  • any one else think he looks like neil patrick harris?

  • I don't agree with the heterosexual lifestyle but I don't mind them spending money on gay music.

  • @jolsonbear how do you not agree with heterosexual lifestyle?? that makes no sense lol even if you're gay that doesn't mean you don't agree with heterosexual lifestyle..it's the way it's suppose to be whether you like it or not..it continues the species and creates life. YOU were created by heterosexual lifestyle buddy.. and it's not gay music, it's just music..good music.

  • @GearHeadFisher think he meant "homosexual" lifestyle, but hes such a dumbshit he spelled it wrong lol

  • and we say that jay-z is a musician, while this is still on youtube.

yeah, the older generation always says the younger generation's music isn't really music. well, this is probably the first time the younger generation agrees.

can we have more of this on the radio please?

    thanks.

    -the world

  • @noahkrawitz21 im 18, and music isnt music anymore, its just a comodity

  • Why are all the good ones gay? I love this guy. And I'm thirteen.

  • hello YOUNG PEOPLE BORN AFTER 1969====THIS IS A MUSIC...RESPECT IT...LEARN FROM IT...TAKE YOU GAY/WHATEVER D.A. OPINIONS AND LEARN SOMETHING!

  • I wanna go to Vegas to see him, I love Elton John! I don't give a fuck who's n his bed, the voice is all I need!

  • love it

  • i HEART this song. 0.o

  • i love this song

  • i love this cover but; i dont feel the passion like a straight man would have because the song is about a girl you know what i mean?

  • to think this guy was gay

  • @Taboomonkey222 was???? did he die or something?

  • @Taboomonkey222

    Is it a bad thing?

  • shocking haircut. but kickass shades lol

  • Almost Famous FTW!

  • Yes this song was written by Bernie Taupin, Eltons long time songsmith. They are an unbeatable team.

  • This man is singing through his soul.

  • @cptfunkygoose unlike today's music.... ugh.. makes me sick....

  • Thanks mom and dad for letting me appreciate good music!!!! Rest in peace, I will never forget you and save me a seat when I get to heaven!!!! Alicia

  • awesome song.

  • best love song about a woman written by a gay man...

  • @ibetmycaddywill2 he didn't write it..

  • @ibetmycaddywill2 Actually he didn't write the song, Bernie Taupin did. He wrote the music.

  • @ibetmycaddywill2 Bernie Taupin was the songwriter.

  • @timmoneel Benie Taupin is a lyricist, Elton wirtes all the music, No music, no song.

If they were selling the lyrics on their own, would you buy them?

There countess lyricists who could have penned different lyrics, equally successffully to this melody. Elton can write a song to anything.

Record comanies will hire melody writers on their own, they won't hire lyricists unless they are accompanied with a melody writer..

  • @ibetmycaddywill2 Taupin is not gay.

  • @ibetmycaddywill2 Elton John didn't write it. He preformed it.

  • @svw221 Elton wrote the music, whyb would you say such a thing? Bernie Taupin cannot write music at all.

Elton can write music to anyone's lyrics, Bernioe Taupin is a very lucky man to have teamed up with a melody writer/singe and performer like Elton.

  • @ibetmycaddywill2 Elton wrote the music, but Bernie wrote the lyrics. It's about Bernie Taupin's girlfriend at the time.

  • u rock elton john!

  • Elton is the King

  • epic !!!!!

  • I disliked because I have a small dick.

  • there are 39 beiber fans tht don't understand good music

  • @71DJP I hear that, I usually listen to 90s rap like biggie, mobb deep, tupac, big L, etc., but this is great. Good music is good music for sure

  • 39 people need to listen again cause theres no way someone could hate this

  • MY GOD! I did not know this was on here. Pure.Clean. Holy Elton John. WOW!!!!!

  • I don't care what kind of music you listen to normally, I am a metal-head til death but good music is good music. And Elton is a true musician.........

  • Comment removed

  • @71DJP There needs to be more people like you in this world. Maybe then it wouldn't be filled with trolls and losers and posers.

  • @71DJP word up bro finally someone who i can agree with.

  • @71DJP It's nice to see other people with an open mind about music on Youtube. I was just watching Protest the Hero videos before I came here, lol

  • @HockeyPwnsBaseball

Sounds like you had fun today ... I love a wide variety of music, except maybe accordian music ... maybe even accordian music, if it's done the right way and you can dance to it ...

  • @lizzy11291950 The only genre I really can't stand is country music, but that's because I grew up in the South

  • @71DJP we should form an organisation for people who can appreciate all good genres....

  • @71DJP I'm a Radiohead and indie/art rock music guy, but this is good music. I love how on this video, nobody is trolling or arguing about matters of opinion. I love music, and so does everyone else. Let's keep it that way.

  • @71DJP hip hop 4 life bro

  • @71DJP That's Sir Elton John now ;)
