high school football is messed up. a lotta kids are on steroids, mainly these catholic schools like de la salle, notre dame, lutheran, and stuff. they have so many advantages over public schools and especially the poor urban schools in pittsburg, antioch, san leandro, etc. they not only have huge players on steroids, but also much better training and equipment. whatever.
It all comes down to this, teams like DLS, ECA, John Curtis and Ohio Schools for the most part don't have district restrictions. These schools have great programs, great athletes and great leadership; of course they're going to rack up wins.
Texas High Schools do not have this advantage. You must live in the district to play for the school, no exceptions. Or you go to private school; and unlike most states the private schools do not play against the public schools.
thats true for one part. I play at a public school in the same area as de la salle and we all know of their ability to bend rules because they're a private school. However de la salle is one of the most respectable programs because the kids there are all so committed. they spend every day working to be better to the best of their ability. Other schools might have a couple of guys who are like that, but to have a whole team like that year after year after year is something pretty incredible
