Ha I did that with my stampede vxl. But I hit a tree and broke everything in front. I mean everything. I snaped my servo mounts clean off and my chassis in half. Cost about $75 to fix.

The only reason the Rustler won is beacause the stampede had 6 cells in it. my Stampede Xl-5 with 8 cells would smoke the Rustler

The brushed motor stampede XL-5 looks like that when combined with a 6 cell NiMH battery.

If you had a brushless motor and esc (velineon and VXL-3s,) the 6 cell would make it go about 10 mph quicker.

If you add a 7 cell battery to the brushless, it'll go 20mph quicker.

If you add a 3s lipo to the brushless, well, lets just say you're not going to hit full speed.. ~70mph.

you could get two 2s lipos and do it in a e-maxx or e-revo. You could go the easy way out and 1 4s lipo! the rustler can not take it with the vxl. You would have to get the mamba max 5700 for it. Their are other mamba max's but, I think this will be the best one. I think i am going to get the rustler again. Also if you want cheaper lipos istead of paying for a maxamps get the true rc. I heard they have more performance and run time like a maxamps.
