  • The USS Flagg. Because size MATTERS.

  • I gave mine to my friend. :(

  • I had one. $100 bucks at toys r us. I changed the CVN number of 99 to 69 for the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) that I had a family member on.

  • Dear Youtubers:

To every man on this page who was once a child that owned (or to those who currently own) the USS Flagg. Let me say on behalf of all the miserable souls like myself who never even sniffed that toy. That I (we) hope you all burn in hell.

Sincerely, Angry frustrated fan of the Greatest Toy ever.

  • @drbayoms Hhahahahahahah ahahaah

  • I hated having rich kids next door lol

  • retailed for $89.99 from 1985-1987

  • Ah, the G.I.Joe toy that only the spoiled-ass rich kids in school had. That thing was well over $100.00.

  • @MegaVolcano we were not well off, had a single parent. somehow my mother got me this.. one of the last years i played actively with toys but this was awesome

  • parents back in the 80s didnt want us to have war themed toys such as gi joes today parents buy their little s h ! t s call of duty look who is smart now

  • Oh christ. :) My brother and I were the only kids to not have GI Joes when we were kids. My mother didn't like the idea of us having war themed toys.

  • @CelesteK yeah look at moms today mom can you buy me saints row the third okay little jimmy lmao

  • The carrier had a battery operated bull horn and attack sirens on it...i had this....long live GIJoe

  • I would suck a 1000 dicks for this toy.

  • @snakeyes1985 I am sorry to hear that man... it's amazing though. I told my girlfriend (soon to be wife) and she was ecstatic that I could share that with her, and the figures. she claimed my Scarlett right away and I didn't mind at all! just wait for the right one bro!

  • gi joe had so many huge and awesome play sets. this is the grand daddy of them all. i never had it as a kid but a friend of mine did. god i loved gi joe and there stuff.

  • The Cudagraw Of GI-JOE DANG I remember a friend of mine had IT WAS HUGE! ! They dont make toys like this scale anymore. Ghostbusters-Firehouse,He-Man-Castle GreySkull and Snakemountain, Thundercats- Cats Lair, Transformers-Metro Plex, and Fortess Maximus.Gobots-Command Center feaking awesome toys my sons really missed out.

  • @OLDSCHOOL6239 :I totally agree! Plus, the toys of nowadays suck compare to the old ones from the 80's and 90's! Lego is the only thing that got better, with a bigger variety and more complexity and details.

  • @glubglub69 Wow you know what that is so true Lego has been able to stand the test of time. Dang my kids really liked there Legos especially the games Star Wars also Indiana. You now just reminded me to introduce them to ZACK THE LEGO MANIAC OH YEA LOL.

  • @OLDSCHOOL6239 i'm 19 and i still have my legos. legos will never get old!

  • @blahblahoww123 im 23 i still have my gi joes, x men/other marvel toys, legos, he man, teenage mutant ninja turtles, california raisens, hot wheels, pogs. what good times

  • GREATEST TOY EVER!

  • I'm sad that this one didn't make down to Brazil, but also glad because most definitely I would had made my mom go bankrupt to be able to buy this sucker for me!

  • I still have all of mine G.I.Joe's collection packed up somewhere in my dad's garage. I'm never gonna sell them even though they would be worth quite a lot nowadays, especially considering that I have like over 25 vehicles/planes and stuff, all in perfect condition and some of them still in the original box.

  • @glubglub69 should take them out and film them and put it up on youtube.

  • @shaolinlueb : unfortunately I can't. I've been away from Brazil for about 10 years, 8 in the USA and now I live in Sweden 'cause my wife is a swede. We have a daughter and another one on the way so I can't afford the trip or for him to ship them to me (and so do them). But I've just talked to him and asked about the toys and he guaranteed to me that they are still there and safe. I could maybe ask my dad to film them but he's so slow...he just cares about soccer.

  • Anyone else notice the black kid in the back that's all like, 'Shit... My pops could never afford this mother fucker...'

  • Christ! Needed a forklift to get that thing home!

  • The Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Flagg was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1985. It included the Admiral, Keel-Haul. The Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Flagg was also sold in 1986 and was discontinued in 1987.

Original Retail Price: $89.99 ($190 in 2010 dollars)

  • The best toys ever are the biggest toys ever. Except My-Size Barbie. She may be huge, but she will never take down G.I. Joe.

  • They made 12" gi joes? Who knew. Lol

  • A G.I. Joe that you can fit in your pocket and has a painted-on uniform is not a G.I. Joe.......sorry, kids. This Joe is a proto-science fiction toy. Real Joes had real uniforms, military issue weapon replicas and could ream a Barbie if it had genitals.

  • @robaronin Get over it. The 3.75 inch line killed any of the 12 inch figures in terms of popularity, to say nothing of sales. That's why it's still where the money goes with respect to the Joe line, which I'm still collecting.

  • @TJ347 Get yer head outta yer ass, twerp. Original Joes in the metal footlocker fetch upwards of $800 on eBay. The "Joes Of All Nations" line fetch closer to a grand in original boxes. Nobody with a brain in their head cares about the sci-fi crap they made in the '80's & '90's. The lame cartoons were half hour commercials to push product.

  • @robaronin Sorry internet gangster, but in your rush to defend your position, you missed my point. I say again, the money goes to the 3.75 inch line... That is to say, that is where Hasbro is putting their money currently with respect to the Joe line, and where they've put it for the last thirty years or so. I don't care what 12 inch figures go for on eBay or what you think of the cartoons. I'm talking about facts, not my personal opinions. Sad that you don't know the difference at your age.

  • @TJ347 internet gangster, lol....that was actually funny. But you're right, I missed your point - because it's meaningless, whereas if you were talking intrinsic & extrinsic value like I thought you were, at least it would be worth typing. Of course that's where the money is now, they changed the line - so it's like comparing apples & turds that have been labeled apples. If they were as popular as you claim, your collection would be worth the money the originals fetch. But they're not.

  • @robaronin I don't naturally speak moron, but I'll do my best so you understand... Popularity has nothing to do with residual value. More people own Toyotas than own Ferraris. Do you think Toyotas will be more valuable on the collector's market? Meanwhile, neither of us is saying anything of any real value. They're fucking toys. You're too old to be on the internet arguing about toys and so am I, so I'll leave you to your delusions at this point. Good day.

  • @TJ347 YOU started this whole exchange by replying to MY comment, you condescending twit! And your last attempt at proof by analogy is just as idiotic as your initial jackassery. More ppl own Toyatas because they can afford them, not because they're more "popular" than Ferraris. That's putting the cart before the jackass, jackass. Meanwhile, ending a garden-variety Internet debate with "Oh, this is a waste of time, I'm going to take my ball & go home" reeks of douchebaggery. Go play in traffic.

  • @robaronin 12" gi joes suck compared to the 3.75 line. They had no cartoons and no imagination.. just war zone reenactments with no personality. sorry.

  • I still have mine...

  • That was a bitch'n toy! It does not seem that exspensive when you compare it to the cheaply built toys of today. My kids also enjoy 80's cartoons via Netflix - and after watching some of the crap nowadays that passes for "cartoons", I can see why!

  • You had to be a real spoiled brat to have one of these things!

  • pfftt..i could never afford this BEHEMOTH back then....how much was thing back then anyway?

  • @victordls my parents paid 100.00 for it back in the day, sadly one day at our local hills I saw at least 10 lined up and they were priced at 50.00, if I had them today I could retire.

  • I remember these toys from when I grew up in the 80s.I was a GIJoe fiend!Christmas shopping was easy for my parents, just buy some GIJoe stuff and some candy! And of course it took my father forever to assemble the vehicles-"dad,let me put one together. No son you'll just break something"When I was 10 or 11 i was allowed to put one of my vehicles together and did it in half the time.My parents were happy that they didn't have to fart around putting together toys that they didn't understand!

  • I actually had this and in its original box for 25 years in the closet. Got rid of it on eBay 3 years ago for $485 since my wife was taking 6 months maternity leave from work. I bought it with hard earned cash from summer job. Don't recall how much back then. :(

  • @supervegeta72 aww dude.. I feel for ya :'(

  • This "toy" was over 7ft long, and a major pain in the arse to put together...even more so than the Cobra Dome itself.

  • G.I.Joe had some of the coolest vehicles ever. The air craft carrier, the hover craft the one vehicle that made bridges. And great detail

  • i ve seen alot of gi joe toy houses

but that is a big ass carrier that must be worth alot

  • today my girlfriend told me i should get rid of my gi joe toys i told her right to her face you will go before my gi joe toys honestly i can care less about sex having the uss flagg is sex enough

  • @snakeyes1985 Good for you man. I had a girl tell me I was gay for collecting these things. This is why she ain't got no man now.

  • @snakeyes1985

All females have a Vagina, but not all men still have the balls to tell there girlfriends that LOL!...but keep a eye on your stuff, Females hate knowing that there is something besides themselves that you care more about, and if given the chance, they will destroy what you love. Love is War...and War is Hell.

  • @snakeyes1985 post of the year, you tell that bitch to fuck herself,

  • @snakeyes1985 Size does matter doesn't it?

  • @snakeyes1985 yo joe!

  • @snakeyes1985 well in the bible it says wait til marriage

  • I had a bunch of figures .... But how many people out there remember when there gi joes would break in half because of that crap washer they put in them

  • i have all figures all small vehicles except for the triple t i have all the large playsets uss flagg, terrordrome,gi joe headquarters,gi joe mobile command center, defiant space shuttle complex thats it im boworing my sisters camcorder im making a youtube video of all my stuff i feel its better to show than talk about it

  • no instead of toys like this today kids have gayass wii,xbox360 and ps3 and while playing getting fat hell i remember hauling all my gi joe toys to my friends house to have a battle between the joes and cobra damn im glad i still have 99% of my gi joe collection from the 80s the other 1% is i need the sgt slaughter triple t and then my gi joe arah collection is complete

  • toys were better back in the 80s i mean have you seen the shit when i say shit i mean SHIT toysrus, walmart and target carry i mean my god back in the 80s gi joe had its own aisle transformers had its own aisle now gi joe is lucky if it sees a spot on shelves wtf where the hell did the patriotism go thats right it died with ronald reagan one of the best presidents ever LONG LIVE THE 80s BEST DECADE EVER FOR TOYS,MOVIES,CARTOONS,TV SHOWS

  • GREATEST TOY EVER!!

  • omfg Toygasm

  • My house was to small for that behemoth of a toy I think It was around $100 dollars, that and the space shuttle I missed out on.

  • I finally got one a year ago, its awesome!!

  • My question is since when does a kids bedoom have a blue plastic floor?

  • shit im 34 and my uss flagg is still with me i remember that christmas in 1986 when i first unwrapped it wow memories blah i still own mine and do i still play with it hell yeah hell ill sometimes sleep on it im not that heavy where it would break the toy is built tough

  • Yeah they just don't make toys like this anymore. I mean, seriosuly. Look how freaking huge it is. It's as big as the kids playing with it. Even if they DID make something like this today, it would run you a thousand dollars or so. Back then it was probably like $89 and parents thought THAT was steep. No. $300 for a toy that is made out of $25 worth of plastic is steep. Stupid supply and demand -_-

  • That is a very big toy...

  • @CobraCommander92 It's not a toy it's an adventure !

  • My brother and I had one of these and we sold it at a garage sale in 1992. We got 100 dollars for it back then... now they are listed for 1,000+ on ebay...

  • MUST- HAVE- NOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!!!

  • The USS Flag and the Snow Walker or AT AT eluded me in my youth. We had wishing wells at the mall when I was a kid and I through a couple of bucks away wishing for these. Its funny when your a kid and you get these things and you ride a Huffey. Now days I buy my kids as much of this stuff as I can. A USS Flag would be awesome for sure.

  • This was retailed in the US for $109.99 when first released. In the UK it was £45.00.(( it may not seem like much but they were living in a time when £0.02(or back then 2d) would buy you a 60 page comic book) and in Ireland it was retailed for 55 Irish pounds.(which is no longer used, they now use euros and only the UK uses pounds as curency)

  • I received this as a child for Christmas whilst at the resort in Aspen. I recall Jeeves required no less than 5 hours to assemble it. The small compartments provided the perfect stage for Shipwreck's countless closet rendezvous that appeased him until the next shore leave. Alas, vacation ended & Jeeves was instructed to disassemble it & post it to home in Manhattan. He forgot & upon learning this, father was irate. He docked him 3 weeks of pay. We all have a mighty laugh remembering this today.

  • My life is now complete. I just bought one on ebay [=

  • LOL I have some of this figures :D

  • New Toy Store Channel : dallasvintagetoys

  • My little brother and I got this for Christmas in 1986, it was then a clearance item the low low price of 75 bucks. I had thought I was done with toys until this monster snagged me back in.

  • Hasbro reissued this, they would make a killing.

  • i got one for christmas we climbed on the box me and my little sister apparently it was like 7 feet long it was like 120 bucks something like that lost it though and most my figures it got put in my grandma's house she moved out and the place got demolished

  • i have my uss flagg still i remember my sister buying this for me christmas 1986 i was doing back flips and cart wheels i was so excited and i still have it boy im glad too

  • My brother, sister, and I got this one year for Christmas. It was a b*tch for my parents to put together. We made the mistake of giving it to my cousin when we had finished playing with it a few years later. He practiced wrestling moves on it, and that was the end of it. Now that my nephew is in to GI Joe, I wish we still had it so he could have it now.

  • Yeah, I had this too..lets just say I never lacked for friends after that particular Hannukah.

  • If your mothers knew how much it would be worth now they would have probably bought it.

  • I remember seeing these on display at Child World. They were so big, they had to stack them in the aisle near the bikes instead of with the rest of the Joes. I vividly remember a pile of them, maybe 5-6, and the $99 price tag. I also remember telling my mom I would love that, and she said something like "Not a chance"...haha.

  • holy crap that big .. you can eat dinner off it when your not playing :)

  • toy books quote this as the holy grail of... was it toys or playsets? One of those two. I didn't need a flagg carrier as a kid I used to make'em out of cardboard....worked fine for me.....but I recall that ad.....Always thought star wars and joe toys were superior to transformers gobots, or mask. He-man stuff was pretty good though..... Just the figure that comes with flagg (keel haul) is 80 on ebay!!!

  • I´m quite sure it´s the poor quality of this video, but at 0:10 it does sound very much like he is saying "It´s fucking fantastic"... Am I tired or is this what it sounds like he´s saying ?

  • This is the ULTIMATE toy!

Christmas is coming up! I know what i´m wishing for!

  • I had one and I loved it. My parents promised that if I made all A's, I would get it. It went for like $100. All of my friends loved it, too. It was an awesome toy.

  • Best toy ever, my dad promised to get me one, I'm still waiting :(

  • My cousin had one I was so jealous

  • I have this aircraft carrier with everything with it up in my parents attic. My brother got it for christmas 20 years ago. it was put together once and taken apart and has been in the attic ever since.

  • @mjmce86

Dude this is a serious collectors item. Put it on ebay. You will get big money for it. Trust me.

  • my brother got this carrier for christmas about 20 years ago and it was put together once and then taken apart. It's still in boxes in my parents attic which is hard to believe.

  • I never have this in the Philippines

and is very expensive and you can not

    fit on your room

  • the 90's were the shit

  • @igotyou62 this is the 80s

  • I saw poieces of it at the Zoloween toy show, christ that things is massive. Only rich kids could have had that

  • Is it wrong that, at 20 yo, I want this?

  • @drcoolcabbage um....im 35 and i would play with this.i dont care what anyone thinks.taking those skystrikers around would be fun.

  • @drcoolcabbage Nope I'm almost 39 and I still want this.

  • @drcoolcabbage

It's not wrong if a 36y/o can have one as well :)

  • @drcoolcabbage I think not everybody has a kid inside in all of us lol

  • @drcoolcabbage Is it wrong that at 29, I want this?

  • @drcoolcabbage Yes

  • @drcoolcabbage : No, it's totally normal. I'm 31 and also really want this toy!!

  • @drcoolcabbage : No, it's totally normal. I'm 31 and I also really want one for me:)!

  • i was a kid and wanted this for xmas, told my dad it was a gi joe aircraft carrier. on xmas i got a big surprise, a navy agent showed up and my dad made me enlist.

  • why is there an awe striker on the flight deck?

  • motherfuckers screaaaaaaaming

  • this toy was modeled after the size of my dick

  • Cost about $130 at Toys R Us and it had to be a special order for the manager. Took me about 2 months of paper route money (Washington Post) then it took up 1/3 of my room. LOL :D

  • we have a cool place in our beach i wish that i would have one :(

  • I sure know my older sister wants to get one, simply beacuase it's a Huge Aircraft Carrier not the Fact its GI Joe

  • Correction 7 1/2' (feet) sorry fatty fingers

  • It's 71/2" long, originally retailed for $109.99 in the US, it was approximately $125.00 in P.R. If you could find one, usually the only way to get it in P.R. was thru Sears (if it was stocked) now a days an incomplete one can put you back about $200.00, near mint complete about $1000.00, it's considered one of the 3 most sought after pieces in the ARAH world next to the Defiant Shuttle Complex & the original cardboard cut out Cobra base (sears exclusive) for more info on the coolest toy line

  • Hahaha its so funny how everything was better 25 years ago.I've never seen a Gi joe playset like this until now.My parents would have never got it for me,infact most of the gi joes i had were ones my dad gave me from when he was a kid.

  • @sleazerikki playsets aren't SHIT now.

  • fuck that is a BIG toy...lol....what did they make it out of..a canoe??

  • I had this thing it was so big it didnt fit in my room, I had to keep it in the garage. It was left by accident by the previous home owners. lol

  • @yourtony99 No way ! Thats awesome. What a find ! I just bought a FLAGG this past winter myself. Never had one as a kid. I put it together in my basement and ya its huge. I put a couple Skystrikers on it. Looks pretty cool.

  • coolest toys ever my fav was the hammer head i still have it and the box

  • One of those guys is actually Ben Affleck. LOL. just kidding.

  • I think it was around $110.00 bucks upon it's debut in 1985. Nobody I knew had it except this crazy Greek kid who kept it at his grandma's house. That house was right behind mine. My brother and I got it for Christmas in 1986. (probably because my dad was stoned when my parents went shopping) My Dad loved "army" toys, he probably saw this and couldn't pass it up. The Toys R Us tag was still on the box when we opened it, a clearance item $70.00. Less than $10.00 a foot for that baby!

  • @nVei06 What is with the "N-word?" that is just stupid!

  • Many young American boys got their very first boner when this thing came out.

  • that bitch is H U G E !!!!

  • How long is this thing? It has to be the longest action toy ever sold. And how long was the pack?

  • Oh BIG is that THING?! Damn I feel sorry for parents today havin to take out a loan just to buy a toy that size and within a week it would be broken! What is that THING made out of cause it better be tough as mentioned boys that young would jump on it, kick it and other things that come into the mind of a 8-10 yr old!

  • What kid back in the day could afford this.... all the kids in the neighborhood would have to chip in. ..lol

  • 10 years old and don't have any friends?, well get the USS Flagg and they'll be coming from 2 streets over, you'll have all the "friends" you can handle!

  • I still have mine!

  • One sold for $4000.00 3 weeks ago on e-bay!

  • I had this! Got it for Christmas. The box was taller than I was! I use to have all out battles with it! With the Sky-striker and conquest X-30 and the tomahawk helicopter! All the other cobra and gi joe vehicles I had. Those were the days!

  • i had one-got it for my birthday.it was the shxt-i didnt have much joes or vehicles though.i had to sell it though-we were starving.i asked my dad recently how much it was-he said $57.i plan getting another one-yo joe.

  • That thing was always way out of my realistic expectations league.

  • In Canada in 1985, it was 129.99 at Woolworths. I drooled over it every saturday for months while my folks lookedat boring stuff like clothes and tools lol.

  • holey fuck that thing is huge!

  • @KevinLounsberry

7 1/2 feet long! I could have slept on it!

  • Man you gotta love the 80s. Thats one of the most outrages toys ever haha its HUGE!

  • i have 1 hé hé

  • This thing goes for a couple grand on ebay???

  • I had the orignal Joes, I'd like the see a scale size carrier, it would be 30 feet long and you coudl sail it down the river. Let's Go Joe. "America's Moveable Fighting Man"

  • Skystriker FTW!!!

  • Damn this thing retailed at $109.99 in 1985. That's like $250 in 2010 money.

  • awesome to see these again, had a neighbor that was in several of these commercials. He got to bring home the toys, most of them for FREE! His entire basement was dedicated to the toy line, many an afternoon spent watch'n the toon and play'n with the toys. If only we knew now how much a Flagg misb was worth today ($15k!)

  • that fucking thing looks huge . i never known any kid that acually had it ...

  • I was lucky enough to get one for Christmas. Once you get past the "hell yeah!!!" and then the bragging rights, you realize it really just kinda sits there. Makes a nice display piece for your Sky Strikers and Tomahawk though. ; ) But, still, a great memory to myself and anyone lucky enough to have had one. : ) And if you're anything like me, you still find random bits of it in weird places...

  • 50 pound hunk of plastic ftw

  • The biggest mistake my parents made was not buying me this. I have never gotten over it. I am 36 now. It's just a matter of time before they are in an old folks home. I will get to choose it for them. THAT'S the moment I will get my revenge... Ohh Mom & Dad, you dont NEED to be in that home you WANT to be in that home. Lets put you in this home over here. Its just as good. I know they dont have toilet paper there but maybe you will make friends and one of them will have T.P. you can borrow.

  • @GHB1974 Dude I circled this shit in the Toys R Us catalog and just knew I was going to get this but my mama wasn't having that. If I could get one now I would.

  • @GHB1974 This is priceless.

  • @GHB1974 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @GHB1974 Mean..just plain mean.

  • @GHB1974 That's friggin funny. I'm 31 and I feel same way about Castle Greyskull and Snake Mountain from Masters of the Universe. LMAO!

  • i better be elite then because i still have my uss flagg, terrordrome,gi joe headquarters all from ready for it the 80s i was missing only one piece it was the end railing on the uss flagg but i feel happy now i found the piece on ebay for 3 dollars

  • Man the Fladd was huge. My cousin had it and it was cool!!!

  • the aircraft carrier was one of those toys from my childhood that put you in the elite if you owned one. i had an extensive gi joe collection as a kid, but I didn't own the big guy.

  • Holy crap toys were cool back in the day heh. I guess video games have completely taken over.

  • You needed an hanger to store this beast.

  • Everyone who's parents bought this for you, I HATE YOU. you go to hell. you go to hell and you die. Sorry, still jealous...

  • My buddy had the Flagg and the Defiant Shuttle. At the time, they were about $100-150 US each and H U G E!!!!!
