  • Groeten van de V.S. Uw prestaties zijn uitstekend, heb ik niet beter gehoord.

  • @Silaxian I'm glad you took a listen to it and took the time to comment. Thank you very much and greetings from the Netherlands.

  • okay there's no way my fingers are gonna be THAT nimble ._.

  • Great bass player! youre my first reference when I am looking for a music that I don't know how to play. Thank you for your videos. My band also thank you...lol.

  • What bass is on the background?

  • Great bass covers, think I listen to all of them, very nice....

  • could u tell me where u got the tabs by any chance?

  • @DeNamETae Tabs? It's right there in front of you. Listen and figure it out for yourself. Any good musician doesn't need tabs.

  • @infusion26 WORD !!

  • @infusion26 That's what I did!!! Thanks for uploading this video !! it was very useful ! ;)

  • Fantastic! Sounds like the original. Thanks

  • Beautifully done. Your version of Layla is great! I listen to you everyday. You have enriched my life with your music. Many, many thanks!!

  • @LaylaNuvo Thank you so much for listening and taking the time to make a nice comment. Glad to have a listener from The United states.

  • @LaylaNuvo , I whole heartedly agree. You took the words, right out of my mouth.

  • Are you Dutch? ; ) Great playing!

  • @Gitaaroverlast Tnanks !! yes !am a Dutch guy.

  • Beautiful Lakland!

  • Okay because I was sure of what note I was hearing but I could also see what you were fretting and it didn't add up. Thanks for clearing it up man.

  • @Drackorage Your welcome :-)

  • Interesting, perhaps my ears are playing tricks on me then. In the very beginning is the first note you play a D or an E flat? Because it seems you're fretting a D but it sounds like an E flat. But like I said, I suspect my ears are playing tricks on me.

  • @Drackorage Your right !! i have to tune my bass a little bit higher because the original song has a higher pitch.

  • Great cover but are you tuned down a half step? Because I'm attempting to transcribe and where you're fretting doesn't make the note it would in standard tuning.

  • @Drackorage I use standard 4-string tuning for my bass (-E-A-D-G)

  • Good choice wearing a blue shirt to do a bass cover for this.

  • I learnt this song from you infusion! Only by looking at the way you play! Thanks for playing this song!

  • @MrNorbi14 That's the spirit !!! You'll feel much better about yourself if you figure it out on your own than if you use tabs (which may be wrong anyway) Just try listening to it and you'll figure it out.

  • Where did you get the partitures of that song?

  • @dmperez777 Sorry I don't use tabs i don't need them because I'm a play-by-ear guitar guy.

My advice to you is to lean the easy stuff first an go on from that point You have spent many time off practice to be come a good bassplayer.

    Good luck !!

  • @infusion26

Sorry, i though you had the partitures, I can play by ear-method too, but it takes a little more time.

thanks a lot for your answer.

And you play so cool. Have a nice day.

PD: excuse my inperfect english, isn't my mother languaje.

  • @dmperez777 Never mind English, isn't also my mother language.

  • @ntrnate

Dude what the fuck, 1: he answered the question 8 months ago, its on the top.

2: LOOK AT THE BASSGUITARS CLOSELY.

  • @plzgtfoyt smart ass get off your fucking high horse mother fucker!

  • @ntrnate

I actually aint riding no horse right now ^^.

  • @ntrnate

they arent the same one has a split pickup and the (forget the term at this time) things on the frets are different.

  • how do you develop such an ear?

  • @mydog2134 Knowing how to listen is an art and a talent you can develop.

  • exelente!!! muy muy buenoooo

  • great tone! woow!

  • good man!

  • thanks a lot. had to check it out and you made it a lot easier for me.

    ;)

  • I really like the sound of your bass! And nice playing!

  • That's staff in the end is awesome!

  • this is hard to played...and you dont ever heard it in song :/

  • i just cried a little bit

  • you are Awzzome dude (;! I wanna teach the song as you play it!

  • the bass in Layla is groovy

  • i love the bassline over the verse and u play it note for note nice job

  • WRONG. It's not dotted quarter / eighth in the chorus...rather quarter / two eighths / quarter / two eighths. Go back and listen. You're much closer on the verses though.

  • ahaha shut up you actually have no life

  • Yeah, go check his other videos. Tons of them. Tons of great playing. What about you? Get a life.

  • nice cover

also - awesome outro - that is just pure genious

  • where'd you get the tabs?

  • Hey violinman606, he said on another video of his that he plays by ear...pretty impressive.

  • You're just playing the notes, put some more love into your music.

  • @lauderrrrr seemed a little stiff to me too. technically it was great though.

  • Why would you make any comment other than " I wish I played my guitar 1/10th as good as you play your bass?" You'll go further in life if you acknowledge greatness rather than voicing your erroneous perceptions.

  • @tonemachine11 dude relax you;ll go further in life if you don't get offended so easily

  • Just playing the notes my ass, watch some of his other vids, guys fucking nuts.

  • Upload some more Paul Gilbert videos while you comment on this guy. What have you done? Get a life.

  • like the playing during the verse

  • wow i was gonna go somewhere else then i listened a bit longer

  • Nice finger movement there (Y)

  • SWEET

  • Very very close but not quite on the chorus...

It's D (quarter) D D (eighths) Bb (quarter) Bb Bb (eighths), etc.

  • you are playing in standard tuning, correct?

great job btw, i'm going to try and learn this song real soon.

  • I tuned my bass up to 440hz and it didnt sound right, so I changed it to 443hz and thats what the instruments are tuned in

  • awes0ome

  • Hard to believe the bass player who CREATED this timeless bass line for Layla was the late Carl Radle, the very same guy who was the bass player for Gary Lewis & the Playboys.

  • can you give me the tabs?

  • Sorry no tabs

  • hast du das freihand gespielt?

  • @infusion26 Do you have the sheet music?

  • @JerSproductions

Well, you SEE everything, why would you need tabs?

  • great, well done ! +5*

  • Great dude , i lov this song =D

  • can you give me the tab pls?

or a site where i can find the right tab of this song

  • jeeee finaly is great

  • You nailed the verses....

  • Well, thank God you're not doing what most of the bass players do when they play this with Eric, and that's follow the chord voicing and rhythm. You're very close, BUT...in the beginning Radle played the figure with a quarter note followed by TWO 8th notes, not a dotted quarter/eighth feel. And the pickup at the end of the two bar cycle beginning at beat #3 is two 8th notes playing D / F followed by two 16th notes playing D / A followed by one 8th note playing C...

  • finally a fingering bass player instead of picking, fingering sound a lot more impressive nice overall man

  • What is a TAB??

  • gtfo newfag

  • The notes for playing a song.

  • Great cover, sounded "in the pocket" to me. Flowing bass lines tend to lose definition in some songs. IMO bass is not only a guitar, but also a rythym instrument much like a drum.

  • great bass cover

  • Just because he isn't swaying his body to the side like a fool doesn't mean he isn't grooving. If you really feel so superior, how about you post a video playing and grooving "better".

  • best bass cover

  • love it!

  • please give me the tab

  • u got 2 the same basses?

  • No the other bass in the back is a Yamaha

  • awesome.

  • I love this song! nice job!

  • you're amazing. i love all your Beatles covers, this just made me love your bass playing even more. your so perfect with everything. I'm playing bass learning as much Beatles stuff (by ear) as possible.

  • whole thing was great, but the ending was awesome

    keep it up

    :)

  • bass tab please, i mean most of the tabs of this song don't sound accurate and it would be better to get it from a professional like yourself :)

  • so smooth and controlled. impressive man, its nice to see somebody with skill on the bass instead of the 4 million 13 yr olds trying to play their first act six strings posting videos like " crazy train perfect cover!"

all in all, keep up the good work

  • Your videos are good, but this is awesome!!!

  • Thanks !!!

  • i like your bass what type

  • This is a Lakland 44-02 bass.

  • Love it!

  • i can see youre a real good bass player because you seem to play so slow and easy and it fits - fucking awesome

  • amazing tone bro! keep rocking!

  • Thanks :-D

  • loved it.

  • Perfect. Great bass player!

  • that guitar part at the end is really cool i can't find tabs for it

  • its from the original "layla" by derek and the dominoes...look that up

  • HAVE FUN !!!

  • somewhat CLOSE.....you have an extremely far way to go before you get into CARL RADLES range...most if not all bass players cant get there....

  • y is ur audio not muted??

any tips can help me?? anyone??

    pls??

  • I really love lakland...but why it sounds so silent? not only yours, all of them on youtube....:(

  • This Lakland is really marvelous! omg!

  • isnt the bass suposed to play the intro riff also?

  • I don't think so.

  • really good
