  • this reminded me of the kool aid man XP OOH YEAAH

  • How much do you think these people spent on cgi to make that commercial?

  • Well, I think I good indicator would be to watch X-men 3 again and try to spot all the actors wearing Levis.

  • The kool aid guy is jealous

  • isnt this add older than xmen 3? i think it might be. dont qoute me on that but i think the add is older. and id rather watch this advert for 2 hours than xmen 3, its not a bad movie, but then its not good either.

  • somewhat similar

  • Levi's engineered jeans: They make you a Juggernaut, bitch!

  • wow they are the new kool aid men

  • Barry Lindon music...

  • i remember dat ad!! brilliant ad

  • WTF? How in god's name does that sell Jeans?

  • The jeans obviously give you the power to run through walls, which is a great selling point. What are you stupid? lol.

  • They usually give directors creative license to interpret their slogans/point they're trying to make with their product, etc. So the slogan for these is movement without constraint, which leads to being able to move how you'd like which leads to busting ass through walls and up trees which leads to a very cool commercial.

  • Because, True Artists Get Inspired.

  • i understand where your coming from but no, just cause they both share someone running through walls dosen't make it a rip off, your forgetting that they're based off comic book characters, and i'm sure somewhere in those comics that character ran through wall also

  • You should really read the full description and reader comments before posting. I posted this the week X3 hit theatres as I noticed some shots were very similar. Later on when the movie hit DVD, in the commentary they said they were inspired by this commercial. So yes, it was inspired by, and I bet Juggernaut wouldn't have been in X3 if someone in the creative process had not seen this commercial.

  • i totally agree with you i heard the commentary as well this is my first time seeing the commercial. but one thing juggernaut is most famous for just walking right thu walls. so a sequence like this was inevitable thanks for posting this video.

  • What does this have to do with anything. I know the answer..... NOTHING! What's your point other than waisting my time?

  • "What does this have to do with anything?" Read the description. I posted this the week X3 hit theatres as I noticed some shots were very similar. Later on when the movie hit DVD, in the commentary they said they were inspired by this commercial. So if this was a waste of your time, then you're probably not that interested in what inspires filmmakers.

  • @ayii I disagree with the last part about him being in it but everything else is fine

  • You should have played the X-Men sequence.

  • This was posted within the first week of X3 being released in theatres, so there was no legal clip available.

  • What does it matter to begin with? It isn't like any of us are the owners of Marvel Comics. That could sue the Levis people or be sued by them. So really the person that put this up. Really needs to get a life I think.

  • Well JKent65000, it wasn't about whether legal action could be taken. I posted this over two years ago when X3 came out and noticed the similarities in the way the commercial was shot and the the sequence in the movie. Apparently in the X3 audio commentary they've confirmed that they were inspired by this commercial, so my instincts were correct. In terms of getting a life, you can say that about 99.9% of YouTube content.

  • So I still like the scene in the movie because it told you what the boy's power was without telling you. And who really cares I mean levi's didn't do anything about it.

  • well i said it once i'll say it again ratner is such a hack i can't believe he stole from a frakin' commercial what a loser

  • Dude thats almost shot for shot to bad this seems cooler

  • This ad was out a long time before X-Men 3!!!

  • all i know is that chick is ugly

  • Jonathan Glazer, who made this movie is a video artist. Exactly as Michel Gondry. They discover new technics, thanks to their engineering, thus many are inspired by the greatest.

Take a look to this commercial from Michel Gondry: the "bullet time", is one of his invention, and wachowski brothers used it in Matrix...INSPIRATION

  • i think the director actually mentioned in a commentary that he was inspired by this commercial.

  • Those jeans commercials are almost as weird as Salad Fingers. That's really saying something.

  • juggernauts been running through walls since the 1960's x-men comics so explain to me exactly how this is a rip of? It's called RESEARCH!!! Do some next time. tsk!

  • I don't know if the director was inspired by or not, by the Juggernaut's been breakin' shit by running through it since the sixties, that's what he does, he's unstoppable. But as for that particular shot, well who knows?

  • oh wow, i see now that bursting through walls was not invented by juggernaut, but by a jeans commercial.. which came out like 30 years after juggernaut did it.. hmm.. yes.. makes perfect sense...

  • who cares about this stupid comercial about jeans man, no one seen it... juggernaults been doing that for ever... Juggernault Bitch!

  • you people are all retarded, i hope you know this!

  • well if im retarded u know what that makes u.. a petafile.

  • okay, 1) it took you 3 months to respond to my comment umm...a little slow?

    2) read these comments, there is more to this ad than people running through walls, the running through walls part is only a small part of it, Juggernaut is not the only thing that has busted trough walls in popular media in the last 50 years!( the kool-aid guy?? is he x men rip off too?)

  • 3) since when is anything not inspired by something? its how art works by inspiration, if it was a rip off it would of been one huge guy with a helmet on smashing through walls, not a thin guy and girl racing through walls, through giant plants, up tall trees and leaping into space! do you get it yet, if it has any ties to the xmen at all it is one of inspiration not anything more

    4)your retarted

  • 5)how do you figure by the way that if your retarded(which is slang for well.. stupid)that i am a petafile(which is not slang, but an illegal, immoral, sexual deviant form of abusive behavior)?

  • it was a joke glad i came on jsut in time to see u respond. Relax take ur pill for the month i was jsut kiddin bye now.Pervert -.-

  • im sorry your not a retard, that would be insulting retarded folk every where, your just a fucking idiot, you should watch what you accuse people of these days...

oh, and the x men movies came 40 years after the comic book and juggernaught was in like issue 12

  • hey dumbass maybe YOU should watch what YOU call OTHERS! hypocrite moron.and i dont give a fuck about comics im not a freak of nature (yes i called YOU and YOU only that) who has nothing betetr to do.Get of ur rag.

  • Have you never watched old X-Men before? Juggernaut did this all the time; this was his thing

  • they ripped this off of x-men, because let's face it, this was Juggernaut's thing

  • Are you fucking retarded? It says in the description THIS commercial came out BEFORE the xmen movies.

  • Juggernaut's awesome strength that allows him to burst through ANYTHING is ripped off a jeans commercial........OH MY FUCKING GOD LETS SUE THE BASTARDS! >_>

  • What the fuck is everyone talking about!? Since when did Juggernaut invent running through walls!? Everyone knows Jesus did it first!! GOD!

  • Hahahah I love you.

  • Inspired by . it says so in the dvd commentary.

  • THAT IS STUPID

  • Not really a rip off or inspired by. Running through walls can be a pretty generic thing.

Also, "what bullshit is that. You obviously don't know anything about X-Men to suggest such a stupid thing."?

Put on your calm down cap and chill out. Seriously, its not real.

  • why would glazer rip off x-men? that's a dumb suggestion.

not bashing xmen or anything.. but seriously, think about how stupid you sound.

    anyways, i love this ad

  • Juggernaut has been smashing through walls for like 30, 40 years man. Wake up xD

  • thats true haha

  • Hasn't Juggernaut been running through walls since the 70s?

  • He must be damn tired!? ;D

  • since the 60's to be exact.

  • what bullshit is that. You obviously don't know anything about X-Men to suggest such a stupid thing.

  • Stupid twat.

  • this ad came out in like the 90's before any x-men film ever so x-men was "inspired" by this...jackass

  • News Flash X-men also had a cartoon in the 90's that this was probably based off of if you read the comics or watched the show you'd know that this idea is Juggernauts not levi

  • what is this music playing music?

  • This add came out years ago, nothing to do with x men or bloody juggernaught.

  • juggernaut had been doing this "Tru the wall" thing even in the comic books. why should there be a disscussion like this?

  • i dont even think that this commercial has anythin to do witht he x emn 3 cuz the guy who smashes threw walls wasnt he aleardy doing it since how ever long??

  • They are all ripping of the kool-Aid man though... OHHH YEAHHH!

  • lmfao

  • LMFAO!!!! omg that's the funniest fucking thing I've seen all day

  • So a guy running through walls is ripped off by a guy who has been running through walls since he was created? Does this mean that Glazer (director of this video) was ripping off Clockwork Orange when he filmed Blur's "Universal"?

  • How can you argue about plagiarism in this day and age? Everything is a rip-off of something else. The most popular music and film genres of today wouldn't exist were it not for borrowed elements of the past. X Men 3 is an inspiration if anything... but even at that how many different ways are there to portray someone smashing through walls?

  • sorry, never saw x-men 3 (well, not that sorry) but this commercial sure rocked my world

  • Definatly NOT a rip off. Juggernaut (who is the one who runs thru walls like that) has been doing that since the early comics in the fucking 60's! If anything this vid ripped the X men off.

  • I didn't stick around to see what happens at the end of the credits in XMen three. It's the worst movie in the galaxy. Plus they filmed it in Canada.

  • Because running through walls is a rip-off? Would you have liked that he lightly tapped on the wall as it crumbled? Oh please.

  • well xmen didn't steal anything, but i can a show that stole this advert "Ant & Decs Saturday Takeaway"

this is a british show, so sorry if other people doesn't know what i mean

  • x man took it from there 100% positive

its like the I-robots robots taken for "all is full of love" Bjork clip made by Cris Cuningham

  • Ant and Decs Saturdaynight takeaway beginning ripped this off (might of been a spoof) but changed it becuase they looked to young.

  • yep, but when this commercial was released a few yeara ago it reminded me of a scene from sam raimi's crimewave

  • yea it does remind you of something lol but its obviously not a rip off

  • This was made before xmen 3

  • ehm: soundtreck;-)

  • The "song" is Haendel's "Sarabande" in the Barry Lyndon soundteck version

  • Hey dude, do you know the name of the song? Thx.

  • INCREDIBLE !!!!!

  • LOVE IT! Not stolen

  • Who composed the music and what is the title?

  • Wow! That gave me chills, it shows soo much emotion and freedom. What a great director. LOVE IT! Not stolen though.

  • i don't think they stole anything... they crash through walls in constantine too, did they steal it from them? Dont' think so. now if she was running through the walls, grabbed him by the waist, pulled him into the floor and left him there... then um yeah. stolen.

  • Lol, the tree running looks so much like Naruto =P

But I doubt any of them was either stolen or inspired by any.

But it was a fun commercial =)

  • sucks sucks sucks

  • not at all stolen

  • I thinks this was a great commercial. I never saw it before.

  • This commercial didn't invent smashing through walls. However, some camera angles may be similar, but stolen? No.
