This old Trailer: episode 24: installing windows!

Been watching a lot of your videos. I am buying a trailer or (mobile home) for pretty cheep. Not in very bad shape but I plan on redoing everything I can. Pretty old and bad decorating. need windows, paint, carpet, doors, and fix a week part in the floor and some other stuff. I have never done stuff like that before. Learning quite a bit from your videos. Def putting down some wood floors in the kitchen like your place.

You should never use OSB especially on a trailer this stuff will fall appart upon the first hint of moisture but I like you are using screws vs nails

The reason that larger window didn't have a nailing flange is because it is a replacement window, meant to go into an existing window frame.

Good video. I was just curious, what are your long-term plans for the place? Are you fixing it up to sell it, or do you and your brother intend to live there? In that case, are you going to set up the house so that you can eventually enlarge it and eventually turn it into twin houses (say if one day you each have your own families? I hope these questions aren't too personnal.

@Ape65 i hated paying rent so me and my mom and my brother will live there hell we are living there now. theres alot of trailers for sell for around the same price i would love to buy more befor the prices go back up

Shouldnt have it such a tight fit no room for expansion or the wood and so on. You always shim windows.
