how long do you get to think of an answer to her questions? do they tell u before the show/give u like 10 mins after shes asked it or do u have to answer there and then?

chris,on the show,do the contestants think of the answers e.t.c themselves and on the spot,or do they have a while to think about what they are going to say for their answer,or does someone from the studio tell them what to say for their answers ?
