I beat Freeze using only 3 take downs....but I would run up to him afterwards and continue to fight him for a bit.... so, use an electric charge, run up to him and you will have an opportunity to beat him up a bit...

Well for me playing it on the new game+ it was frustrating and very hard trying to bear Mr.Freeze! The fact that it took only three or two hits from his Freeze ray to kill you was so fucking frustrating, plus you had your heat seeking jam! Mr.Freeze was indeed a hard boss, it took me more than 10 tries to beat him.

Normal mode you only have to do 5 different tactics.  On the harder modes you have to do 10 I believe.

1. Rear takedown move

2. Electro magnets

3. Disruptor

4. Floor grating takedown

5. wall in one room that you use explosive gel on

6. Ledge takedown move

7. Takedown through the glass ceilings

@ShadowPhoenixKC Are you sure you have punched him after the takedowns? I don't think the takedowns alone will beat him. For example, sneek up behind him and perform a silent takedown, then beat him up until he rises again. The same goes with luring him into electricity. When he's stunned, run up an beat the crap out of him. But by now I think you've figured this out ;)

the only time I've ever been scared of mr freeze. not only does he look like an alien with an astronaut suit not to mention his creepy as hell voice, I always get shaky with these types of stealth fighting, it be more frighting if he killed you in 3 hits.

Its tedious trying to beat this fuck on Game Plus. It took me over 8 tries. I was fighting him and he only needed one more hit for me to take him out, but then he Freeze-Naded me from the other side behind a wall. I was close to throwing my Batman Arkham City out the window, but I tried it again. And then a miracle happend. I FINALLY GOT HIM.

In case some already posted the hard mode takedowns, i learned the slow and steady way. 1, silent takedown from behind.2 silent takedown from a ledge, 3 Disruptor his freeze gun, 4 exploding gel on a wall, 5 takedown from the grate on the ground, 6 takedown from behind a window, 7 electrocute him with the pool of water, 8 magnetize him with the REC gun and the wall magnets, 9 Gliding strike and beat up, 10 line launcher into the side of his head. Be quick and you can use the gel twice on walls

dude im playing ew game plus and its A LOT more than 5 take downs to beat him. i've done the explosive gel, the behind take down, the beneath the ground takedown, the glide kick take down the magnet takedown, and the disrupter takedown. how the hell else do i beat this guy??

@McDagger90 I imagine it takes more than 5 attacks to beat him in hard mode, but on Normal (when I beat him) you need to beat him up after the takedown, while he is on the floor. This will reduce his health bar significantly.

I loved this fight as I was left trying to figure out what moves I hadn't already used on him. You can refer to the bat computer (back button) to view the different techniques you can use that aren't mentioned in the video.

Theres a little trick, where if you have the line launcher upgraded, then you can stand on it and drop attack mr freeze while above him, and you could do that forever....

@TrickinsEdits I figured out that Oracle sends you a thing that shows all of the different take downs you can use on Freeze. You can view it by pressing the select button. Try that if you're still having trouble beating him.

Arkham City offers some of the best boss battles in modern gaming. How many other video games can you name which has been released in 2011 which offers the quality of boss battles that Arkham is offering? The boss villains are smart. Blocking off one route and forcing you to take another method. It's brilliant and smart.
