The outer shell composed of ~50 steel support columns and the building facia would still require controlled demolitions to free fall even for 2.25s for 8+ stories. Regardless whether the freefall was immediate (which global collapse certainly appears in the video), freefall did occur. This had to have included both the facia and supports.

The beams in those pics had large amounts of solidified steel that had run down them. Find a pic of sum1 cuttin the same guage steel with oxy-acetylene= A fine supa hot flame that cuts through steel like butter, with smal amounts of malten steel runin.
As for cuttin vertically, take a pyrotechnic case with a section of a gas at the back. Pack with thermite. As the gas heats up it will push against the thermite pushin it against whatever you want cut Vertically.

One of it's uses is in a "Shaped Charge" which cuts chevron's through vertical 'H' columns . Usually applied with an explosive charge, it moves, or walks the column.

The idea behind this is great, and definitely should be let know. But this little parade thing they got going on there,, is sad and pathetic. I mean how many thousands of people died in 911 and this is all we can get worked up? 30 people in their pick-up trucks carrying flags?? We (as in Americans) need to get angry.
