Wow... she REALLY has improved since Vancouver. She still needs to work on her transitions into jumps but I think her skating looks so much more graceful and smoother than the last season :D

Mao did good but not her best though. But her jumps are bettter than GPs'. I agree why she is in the 2nd place b/c Miki's jumps were far better than hers. This program is so, so much better than her Olympic program, which was much too heavy. She is a lyrical skater and this music is far better suited to the kind of balletic style she demonstrates so well. Even if every jump is not perfect, she is truly a pleasure to watch. It seems like the old Mao is back.
Hi thanks for posting. Can anyone comment on her skating technique??? Has she addressed the edges that she was trying to correct in her earlier performances? I think if she has, she will do really well in the worlds with less downgrades.

The first 50 sec of this program have more choreography than the last 2 years for me. Thiis music is a bit boring, but the overall presentation of it is captivating. It is nice to see a smile and speed return to her skating.

about mao the triple axel was downgraded and the triple lutz was a clear flutz. besides that mao, doubled a planned triple Salchow and his second triple axel.

What amazes me is that she has a program with all sorts of tiples.Her non jump elements such as spins, spirals, footworks, all of them are spectacular. There are skaters who repeat the same jumps to gain the points without any special non jump elements and they win. To me, she is the best in the world. I can enjoy her program without jumps and that is a true champion.
She is the comeback queen! I never doubted her for a second. I knew when she first performed this program, even though she placed 8th that this was going to be fantastic music for her to skate to.
That lutz looked far better than before, and well, she's still the only girl with a triple axel.

She improved a lot. This would give her extra points on 'GOE' grade of execusion. Her jump spins are tighter, and everything is more precise. With this new ISU rules, it should help her a lot. The value of triple axel was increase as well. She has all the jumps now. Only Madori Ito, Tonya Harding completed those jumps in competation. Only two things she need to improved: Just simply an awesome skater! Even her toes are pointed!!! Mao needs a triple/triple combination and a lot more speed.
Wow!!! This program gave me chills, it's so touching to see her skate perfectly, landing two triple axels (even if the 2d is underrotated) and all of her planned triples after the disastrous perfomances she had this season...

SO much better than ANY of the performances she did this year. I absolutely LOVE her footwork sequence in this program. Fast, clean, and beautiful. Excellent. I hope she keeps this momentum up for the World Championships! She starts off lacking the artistry but at the end it's very beautiful. I approve :)

@madeofflower b/c it's very hard jump to do. A 6 revolutions jump you know. B/c she doesn't have good basic technique. she always cheated. Only Yuna can do clean 6 revolutions 3-3 jump. Be patient til world, you will see Yuna does the humongous 3-3 again and win the 2nd World title ;)

Oh @ynkisno1....I don't care If Mao Asada wins the Olympic gold medal or not, I was rooting for Michelle Kwan In the 1998, and 2002, Winter Olympics, but Tara Lipinski, and Sarah Hughes had the skating performances of their lives to defeat Kwan for the gold medal. I am a fan of great figure skating, so I've always respected Lipinski & Hughes....But I LOVE Michelle Kwan, just like I LOVE Kim Yuna, and I LOVE Mao Asada.
I think Asada, Yuna, and Kwan will be remembered In 30 years or longer CONT

Yuna doesn't have tripple Axel but she has tripple tripple. Mao didn't do any triple tripl but she got the huge tripple Axel! They are just different.

@canshin665 To me Kim and her triple triple is much more impressive then Mao's triple axel. The speed that Kim has going into that combination is just staggering. Mao's triple axel while impressive is not in the same league as Midori Ito's trip axels.
@dsfddsgh Well, Kim's triple triple is my favorate too so I can't argue about her jump but I wasn't trying to fiqure out who is the better jumper. In competitions, it comes down to who DELIVER the best with technicallity and musicality. I feel like Mao acheived both quailities in Jnp national. We'll see what' gonna happen in the world championship, becuase Yuna i sa great performer as well as jumper. Again question comes down to who dieliver the best.

I love both Yuna and Mao. They have different qualities on ice. DIFFERENT. It's not like someone is better than other. They are different. People should understand it.
Yuna doesn't have tripple Axel but she has tripple tripple. Mao didn't do any triple tripl but she got the huge tripple Axel! They are just different.
The quetion is who can present it better.

@canshin665 To me Kim and her triple triple is much more impressive then Mao's triple axel. The speed that Kim has going into that combination is just staggering. Mao's triple axel while impressive is not in the same league as Midori Ito's trip axels.

@dsfddsgh Well, Kim's triple triple is my favorate too so I can't argue about her jump but I wasn't trying to fiqure out who is the better jumper. In competitions, it comes down to who DELIVER the best with technicallity and musicality. I feel like Mao acheived both quailities in Jnp national. We'll see what' gonna happen in the world championship, becuase Yuna i sa great performer as well as jumper. Again question comes down to who dieliver the best.

Her brave attepts of triple jumps should be rewarded and will be. Yuna does not have that skill. Cheers Asada!
