I saw him at a free concert in Sioux City Iowa in 1998. The show was right before him and his orchestra became really popular and well known. They came out playing the James Bond theme and never let up. They weren't even the headliner, but the crowd was exhausted after his set and took off. The old blues guy they had headlining must have been PISSED!

Not originally a Venture's tune, but the tonality of the guitar does suggest that.

@rmo52 Actually Hal Leanard just published Vol. 2 of 'Play Guitar with the Ventures (Book & CD) and they included 'The James Bond Theme... I saw The Ventuers perform 'Goldfinger' live(a similar tune)...Not sure if they ever played '007' Live but they did 'The Man from UNCLE' and of course 'Secret Agent Man'.

Brian is a better guitar player than this. Any hack can sound good in front of a huge orchestra.

On the contrary, any old hack CANNOT play out infront of orchestra like this. Setzer's got an enormous jazz backround and it'd be tough to do the whole orchestra bit without it.
