Great lesson...thanks! In this style, I have been trying to hit both alternating bass notes with my thumb, your method of hitting the low bass with the thumb and the high bass (d string on g chord) with the index finger sounds much better.  I'll give it a whirl.

really great explanation of this style, When played normal it can be kind of difficult to realize that this is simply a bass pattern with a melody

This is a great lesson. I've been playing guitar only looking at tabs. I've built no sense of music but the song I play is quite hard one. I can't say i play guitar but i have to say i know how to move fingers.. I still have a bit of difficulties but getting to understand what you are saying. this is a real music lesson. really appreciate it.
