  • Olivier was simply amazing... Branagh played him well, too.

    "Always?"

"Both times" hahaha its funny cuz its so lame!

  • What a pile of crap this film was/is

  • Why is it that when they say this is her happiest role, my heart breaks :(?

  • This movie is on in 10 minutes! I've never seen it before, but it looks delightful. :D

  • Laurence Olivier was a bastard to Marilyn during the set

  • @S3v711

    Really why?

  • 2:08 Pippa Middleton. eat your heart out

  • 2:08 bahah, that little hip move she made was cute:)

  • why is everyone hating on olivier?? i think he is at his sexiest and most handsome here!!

  • @ponychamp Sure, he looks very attractive here, but he was pretty harsh with Marilyn at times while he was trying to direct her.

  • @ponychamp I love Olivier, but I think he was waaaay hotter in tons of other movies, like Hamlet, Wuthering Heights, Rebecca and Pride and Prejudice...He was meh in this movie, as much as it pains me to say it. But then, I feel like it was just a badly written movie that very few people could help to save. Not even Monroe, as beautiful as she is, could make this movie interesting.

  • On the set of 'The Prince and the Showgirl', a 23 year-old lowly assistant introduces Marilyn to some of the pleasures of British life.

Check out My Week With Marilyn in theaters November 4

  • Thumbs up If you are seeing this If you found out that "My Week with Marilyn"'s plot revolved around this movie.... :) :D

  • @0707theone nope! it's cos radio 4 has been reading from the book "my week with marilyn " all this week :D it's been really good and yes did lead me here

  • I have literally just watched this and I really enjoyed it. Monroe was just amazing. She is stunning obviously but acts fantastically too. She is just brilliant. I enjoyed Olivier in this film. I love the ease in which he speaks. I can totally see why he was a Shakespearean actor.

  • that prince was handsome? eeeewww, seriously? even for back in the day its clear that man is not cute.

  • @shakimaro Actually Lawrence Olivier used to be rather handsome. But I admit it is far from obvious in this film!

  • @AvaMcLoeriitho0o0 yep. i googled him and he was alright. but in this movie he sure does not show it :) So he directed it and casts himself as a handsome prince. hmm. seem really conceded. hehe

  • @shakimaro Did you watch Rebecca (the Hitchock version). He's quite good it!

  • Fabulous, I saw this movie, just as I finished reading the book years ago, what a delight!

  • damn..... marilyn is a good actress......

  • "they took a ride on a bus?...a PUBLIC bus?"

  • one of my favorite movies of all time!

  • 1:25 oh how i wish i was around when your were marilyn, you're so adorable

  • When I buyed and watched the movie, I cried at the end. Not for the movie, but Marilyn, she walks away to that tragical ending; and the music doesn't help it, it's so beautiful that it makes me cried. Maybe I love her too much... and I love it. Marilyn, I wanna buy you a castle to you love me, and that would be little. Pardon my french (don't speak it very well), but I haved to tell this.. ♥

  • I think this is a great movie! Warner did not do a good job of editing it, The pace was too slow, and the coronation scene way too long. All these points Marilyn put to the Warner Bros heads, but did they listen?

  • Marverlous! simply superb acting from Sir Olivier, see how he propells himself at 1:10 and his slight facial movements at 1:22 are astonishingly accurate,

    yours

  • She steals this movie from the great Olivier and he directed it! One of her best performances and her beauty is at its natural best here. What a divine creature she was.

  • she was hillarious in this, every line delivered perfectly. "is he charming?" "no. not at all!...but he's so cute!"

  • marilyn was the moust shinig star ever live

  • Even in this bomb of a movie, Marilyn glows and endears herself to everyone, even to the stern and stupid prince, Larry Olivier, outplayed by Monroe and the camera in every scene.

  • @11777766 Yes you are right Olivier was not happy that he was out played by here.

  • @11777766 Maybe being outplayed by Marilyn was one of the things about her that Laurence Olivier really hated about her, which is evident in "My Week with Marilyn." I feel really disgusted with him for willing to take advantage of her because of her beauty and fame, which, sadly, was done to her a lot throughout her life by greedy and jealous people.
