I love Peter Schiffs analysis but he is NOT the first guy to say this. Back in the day it was common knowledge on "the street" (Wall Street) that the US was in trouble. Sir John Templeton stated it back in early 2000 that Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were in jeopardy of default and that a cataclism was immenant. He died not many years after before he could see his prediction come true.

A smart person wouldnt have put their money in the bank in the first place. Trusting strangers with your money is never smart. Alot of people did it out of greed trying to make money off the bank in intrest, but being that you have no say in how the bank, A BUSINESS, is ran, you cant guarantee they will make money.

Storing physical gold will be a challenge. The govt can always go after it AGAIN like they did many decades ago. YES THE GOVT CAN GO INTO YOUR SAFE DEPOSIT BOX AT YOUR BANK AND SIEZE YOUR GOLD!! Don't be fooled for a second. Anyway the central banks and elites own all the gold and they are systematically dumping it to the ignorant masses who believe stocking up on it will enable them to have some sort of purchasing power. Dont get me wrong. Im not dissing anyone who says own gold. Be encouraged.

I bought pre 1933 collector IRA graded Double Eagles.Non confiscatable. Cost about 700.00 over spot. Hiding them is easy. Try finding anything in my trashy garage. Still don't know what else to do with my cash. The mattress idea really isn't worth the trouble since the dollar is becoming worthless.

Dude I respect your opinion but your wrong. The govt has already done that. via credit transfer (not actual cash). The Fed Reserve only recieves the money out of the vault from the banks then it lends it to the US Gov by way of swaps and digital credits. Remember that fiat currency is NOT money it can be created at will and carries no intrinsic value. The system WILL FAIL SO GET READY............
