@cherrybloom22 I have the same problem. I just adopted a dog a few days ago, she's about 2 years old, but won't play. I have no problem teaching her tricks. I've tried to reward her for just touching the ball. It's not going well, but who knows maybe I'll succeed.

@PuppyGirlProductions I have a jack russel and mine was afraid too. It taked me only two days how to show her its not dangerous. You can give your dog eat and drink from the frisbee so the dog can use to it. Try this for a couple of days and also try to bowl sometimes. Good luck with that! My problem is that Phoebe (my dog) is not really interested yet. She just growl and chasing the frisbee but never catch :D

What if my dog is interested in the frisbee until he bites down on it and realizes its hard? He loves ice, water bottles and everything else that is hard, but not frisbees. I don't think it is the 'new toy' smell because he never has a problem with new toys.
