Taiwan has never really taken its sports people seriously. There is nothing political about this, only a failure of each and every administration to provide for them. I am not surprised that our athletes are getting bought by other nations. I only hope that that the present administration recognizes this crisis and does something about it.

我國高球好手曾雅妮在英國女子高爾夫公開賽奪冠，總統府立刻發出新聞稿，公佈總統拍發賀電的消息，但是一年多前，曾雅妮為爭取主辦台灣ＬＰＧＡ女子公開賽多次請命，也面見了馬總統，但總統的答覆是：「這筆經費可以辦很多場慢跑耶！」曾雅妮後來寫信痛陳政府漠視高爾夫球運動，一個只知跑步、到處蓋游泳池的總統，前後冷熱丕變，似乎他只對「錦上添花」、「自我貼金」有興趣？
