  • good cover, but its not better than original.

  • I would say decent but bit overproduced.

  • sick falsetto style just like kings... where is this band from?

  • @Sivart420666 Norway

  • A great cover if anything of a cover this sounds really perfect, but ofc a cover can never truly better than the original. It has a better clearer sound to it you can say that.

  • This has a much better production value than the original, and the vocalist is doing a great job. He is not King Diamond though, sorry. The original is far better. But a very decent cover, dont think there are many who can sing like this on a regular basis :)

  • it's an alright, but only King really does his style justice.. Original is better IMO

  • The only thing you can hear that this isent the original song, its because you can hear that this has been recorded this century, not back in the days when they used dinosaur bones to record music. So pagans mind nailed this cover.... It much more intens than the original.

  • 1000 times better than the original.Hail from Holland from A THE V.

  • is it just me or does this cover match the current Bass heavy track , the bass seems to over shadow the singer. It's a good cover but we gotta have lots of Bass these days right?right? ok...ok.. yeahI I cant hear his lyrics through my system lol. But King's sound great !!

  • original better

  • It beats the original hands down.

  • this song kicks ass

  • right on

  • i am singer and metal and rock fan since 1977.This is 1000 much better than original.Greetz from Holland.

  • Really really good King Diamond imitation.

  • Not quite covering King Diamond's range, but its definitely the best attempt i've heard.. very nicely done.

  • Not entirely up to par with King's outstanding voice, but it's definitely one of the best covers I've heard. Kudos to the vocalist for the attempt.

  • THE ORIGINAL IS THE GREATEST U FOOLS!!! NOONE CAN BEAT THE KING !!!! its ok.. but cant touch the original<!!!

  • Spinach rising from the grave :)))

  • damn, this is good. flah-fla-flaaaah!!! THE KING!

  • honestly, i couldnt really tell the difference from this and the original. thats how you know its a good cover. thumbs up

  • Glen Drover is the first, Gus G is the second, and Jorn is the third solo.

  • Guitar Solo by special guest: Gus G. ;)

  • The last solo at around 6:30 is absolutely incredible. My God can Jorn Viggo Lofstad play.

  • I think I like this better than the original

  • @yuletide yeah me too.

  • @yuletide Why? The only difference is that the original, is the original... so I would consider the original better.

Also, King Diamond is better at his own style than these guys, and his version is faster. I'd vote King Diamond just because I'm a King Diamond fan.

  • Srry but i never heard about u guys but after hearing this I will :)

  • i love this albu, if you guys are wondering, its not that rare, its on itunes...

  • not bad faithful to the original unlike most who just take it just for the name and not for the feeling, but this i felt it but then i think they tried alittle to hard to over do it. so what it comes down to is good cover but stick to the original. hail diamond

  • the drumming part sucks..no clarity no spaces just double bass fillups all the time...damn no respect for Mickey Dee guys????

  • greatest cover of a song ever made by any band in history of music

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow this is absolutely 10/10 pagans mind rocks i need to have an album of them thisis the first time i hear them

  • Sounds like something Cradle of Filth would come up with, but hell, anything Pagans Mind does is phenomenal and I love what they did with this. I defy anyone to top this singer, though.

  • Nils K Rue and King Diamond are simply amazing

  • YES!

  • SALUDOS DESDE MEXICO!!!!!

  • THEY BACK

  • not a bad cover at all

  • This song isn't rare. It's on the 2004 version of Infinity Divine

The drummer is awesome. Listen to his feet. He's great with his bassdrums. I love everything about this band since I first saw them on tour with Fates Warning.

Fates Warning was already playing and everyone still screamed for Pagans Mind.

Actually the whole band is great. Not only for their music. We we're outside with them after a show. Talking, smoking some cigarettes etc. They're treating you like you're life long pals.

  • Love the fuckin drum sound.. AWSOME..

  • nice cover... still wish original was reposted, i need to hear it

i can't find the album anywhere

  • Of King Dimond?

  • holy crap, this is really good cover.. I´m sure that king would be honored.. but as I say, king, he is fenomenal singer.. does anybody know if singer from pagans mind use some voice effect when he sings high vocals ??

  • He doesn't ;)

  • Really ?? ou , I´m surprised :) ,.. it´s incredible how he can sing king´s passages with high vocals.. really great

  • He's even better on stage. =D

    All of them are.

  • Not to be rude I love King Diamond but his range is hugely overstated.

He doesnt go that much higher than other multi octave metal vocalists.

He uses alot of pure falsetto which makes his high notes shriller and thinner.

  • Well, his falsetto works perfectly with his stories on his albums, allows him to do lines for female parts and all that. Also, he still manages to make it sounds awesome. Also, I would like to see other vocalists due the demonic lows and falsetto like he does. His range isn't necessarily wider than some, but he does so much more within that range, so why should it matter?

  • You can sound more female without using falsetto.

    Yeah well he is good!

Sounds more like a creepy smiling jester than a scary demon though.

Yeah I think i got it there! The type of jester who sets up plays and does all the female voices in a ridiculous falsetto.

    A sinister demonic Jester maybe.

  • @PennyDreadful1 i think i would be 100 times more scared of a ..."Sinister demonic jester" than your regular run of the mill demon... wouldnt u? But i'd still have a beer with both!

  • @Kysos2 Neither does King really. He just used like reverb from an emerson machine is what he told me when I asked him years ago.

  • Don't forget, this isn't the slightest bit rare.

  • That they play it, is rare..

It's not on internet, if it is.. show me

  • There is on more on Youtube I know about

  • So your pointing out that the band rarely plays the cover live? Wow, never would have guessed that! And if that is true that you meant its rare for them to play it live why did you post the common album version and not an actual rare live version?

So I guess you MUST have meant its rare they play it live and aren't just covering your tracks at how common this cover is.

  • Did I say Live?

    Nope.

  • The part they added in at 7:34 was cool

  • ja, de vi alle sammen :P

  • Norge!

  • Well, King Diamond`s version is the best, but as a Norwegian I`m really proud hearing this cover.

  • AMAZING!!!! WOW!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!

    INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nils Rue does an INCREDIBLE job singing this! I'd say it may even surpass King Diamond himself! I was just stunned at this performance, Nils' voice can simply handle everything, it's insane. I'm sorry I just freaked out, but yeah!

  • yeah I know :P
