Love Max. The Wikilinks thing is really kind of crap. The way Wikilinks presented it they made the video out to be just a bunch of guys with a photographer getting lit up by Apache helocpters. I've seen all of the video and it is hard to watch without doubt, but what WL doesn't say is that this group of guys was indeed armed. One guy had an RPG, and one had an AK-47 so in a war zone a viable target. Saying this the death and destruction is still disgusting.

In explaining the carry trade scheme the woman from Iceland fell victim too, Stacy said that the debt was taken out in Yen at 0% interest. Then when the Icelandic currency crashed, her rates started to dbl. I don't understand why one event causes the other.

So if, for example, we use fictional exchange rates and say her loan was for 100 yen to buy a 100 Icelandic krona mortgage; but the krona crashes to 200 krona to 100 yen; the cost of her mortgage has doubled even though her yen loan stays same.
