  • Thanks alot! I was having problems with my blues tune. It is in 4/4 time but with triplets.

  • How do you enter hemiolas that cross the bar? For example, in 3/4 a 4-note pattern that crosses six beats. I know that could be 4 dotted quarter notes, but some patterns in some time signatures actually read better (I think) as bracketed hemiolas.

  • @dfrankow Hmm...I just looked and MuseScore doesn't seem to have a bracket like that. I did manage to create one from the plain line at the bottom of the Lines palette. Drag it into your score and then right-click on it and choose Line Properties. Under "Begin" check Hook and change the value to 1.50sp. Do the same under End and click OK (if you want the bracket to go beneath the notes, make the value -1.50sp). Once you've created one, you could copy and paste it to other places in your score.

  • @MuseScoreHowTo Thanks. In my case, I ended up changing the bar from 5/8 to 5/4 (i.e twice as long) to contain the entire 4-on-3 bracket. It's a hack, but not bad.

  • You're accent is awesome!

  • @fffianist What accent?? I don't have an accent :) LOL.

  • Command+3 does not work for me I don't understand why...
