  • Does anyone know the name of the album that the Coconuts made in about 1986. i think it was something like The Coconuts live At The..........and the rest I have forgotten. I had the album several years ago and loved it, but somehow managed to lose it and would love to get it again. Please, if anyone can help I would be so grateful.

  • can't wait to see this tonight!!

  • I wish I coud've seen them live

  • Kid Creole and the Coconuts were a class act then.... I know nothing lasts forever... but I would not go and see them now as they are not the originals and I have seen some of the posts of the new coconuts..... they are rubbish at backing vocals as well as the choreography!!! sorry!!

  • Come back Kid Creole and the original classy coconuts. Adriana, Cheryl, & Janique......."A Wonderful Thing Baby"

  • I would dearly love to see this documentary.

  • They were awesome .. saw them at Newcastle City Hall twice in the mid 80's and the show was legend !!

  • There's a lot of talk of comparisons between Morris Day and Kid Creole...what's the connection there...or were they both just similar acts? Maybe Prince saw Kid Creole and adapted the act for The Time???

  • NO comparison. The Kid rules.

  • mama coconut adriana kaegi's new album TAG is best of the month on Amazon. for more info adrianakaegi dod com

  • @mottanaluns Hey there. Where is this documentary available?

  • Saw KC and CCN's a couple of times in Bristol UK in the 80's. The best show on earth. If I had a time machine that's where i would head for! Best wishes and much respect to all involved

  • Saw KC and CCN along with the B-52s at the Lakeland Civic Center in Florida in 1980; was 30 feet from the stage at the same level as the band; like W I D E screen TV only live; you could smell the perfume of the coconuts

  • Maybe the best band of the eighties. Saw them three times. Wow. The Glory that was Eden needs some exposure. Thank you to whomever made their first five lps in cd form. Kisses to Adriana.

  • her home video footage blows

  • August is a genius. the music was 20 years ahead of its time.

  • cheryl is a mother and taryn a yoga instructor,

the documentary is done and i am working on getting a distribution etc...will keep you posted.

    a

  • Is this the real Adriana?

  • yes i am the real Adriana

  • Dear Addy, whatever became of Cheryl and Taryn? Do you keep in touch - they seem to have disappeared. Also, any updates on this documentary yet? xx.

  • Fantastic band.. Fantastic artist.. Fantastic songs. I have 3 favourites from the forgotten 80ties. One of them is Kid the King, & his crew (DONT TAKE MY COCONUTS!), another is Blues Brothers (LOOKING FOR A FOX), and the 3d... Well, I don't remember. But I'll let you know.

  • Ok, the Blues Brothers song is from 1998. Whatever... We had fun. And still have ,D

  • Dear Addy, can't wait to see it! I grew up with your awesome band and its immortal tunes. I hope the original members will re-unite someday for a world tour.

Thanks from the deep of my heart for the good time you gave to us in the past decades. Long live Your Music!

Very Best Regards from this side of the Ocean.

    Enrico

  • great footage! x

  • Adriana was my favorite! I only watched the videos for her when I was a kid. LOL!

  • I just bought "Wise Guy" at Amoeba and its been playing non-stop...Incredible band and concepts...

  • wise guy was the title of the album in america. in europe it was called tropical gangster. did you ever listen to fresh fruit in foreing places?

  • I haven't heard it yet - But I plan on completing the collection. My sis turned me onto the 'Wise Guy' LP back in the '80s - and I always bust it out to find grooves for my latin ska funk band: Mento Buru. I've been watching all the old vid clips from the live shows - just incredible! I can't wait to see the full documentary!

  • nice post. i always wanted to know more about you lot. are you still the last remaining coconut? who were the other original two?

  • Cheryl Poirier, Janique Svedberg, Taryn Haegy where the originals, now the KId who is not such a kid anymore but still Rocks your socks off, has 3 new coconuts who are dancing in our shoes.

    a

  • Adriana, the concept of the coconuts was truly unique back in the day - you ladies where amazing! I see strong Coconut influences in some of today's girl groups like the Sugababes for example, but for me The Coconuts (Adriana, Cheryl & Taryn) will always be the best!

  • I hope Adriana (author) - that you make something of this, as a catapult to other happenings in your life - be a good mentor please - and it sounds like your voice still has the chops for more good singing...life after Kid Creole? Andrew

  • a little bird told me that the film is almost finished and should be out this year. yehhhhh

  • The Kaegi-era Coconuts were supreme and make all other Cocos look like, well, pole dancers. Too bad the moderns do not think it is important to build upon the original ideas and moves. Wish No Intentions was avail, it rocked.

  • The Coconuts ruled !!!....great dance and song unity.

  • wow can not wait for the fllm to come out

  • when can i buy this historic movie?

  • Lovely documentary Adriana - it would make a great bonus feature to a new Kid Creole And The Coconuts DVD, don't you think? xx.

  • COME BACK THE ORIGINAL COCONUTS!

  • BRILLIANT...THOSE WERE DAYS

  • The Style, Clothes, Makeup, Songs and Dance Routines were Brilliant.

  • I fell in love with Adrian Keigel's choreography, expressions, singing, body and soul!! The Coconuts are just ELECTRIC !!!! Hope I can see high quality video of her, the Coconuts and Kid Creole

  • ADRIANA AS BRILLIANT

  • I was lucky enough to catch this FANTASTIC band at Southport England, never to be forgotten[BRILLIANT].

  • Great video! there's ben nothing to match the coconuts since

  • I saw this band over and over in the 80s in NYC. I *LOVED* them....

  • Wow! Is this on DVD yet?

  • Awesome! The Kid had great songs, with funny clever lyrics. The Coconuts were hot, with cool dances and hot costumes.

  • can't wait!

  • this trailer needs to be seen by all young and old kid creole fans. can not wait to see the film to get the whole story, when is it coming out?

  • Great times - great footage !
