Pepi, what are you using to get that smooth distortion sound. I have a peavy 6505, Lespaul Trad Pro, and a tube overdrive pedal made by hardwire. Can you give me the best advice to getting that smooth thick tone you have for leads? It would mean the world to me....
@lildude234 Hi,i use mainly the high gain channel of my tube amps, gain is on 6-7 o`clock, presence about
4 o`clock,high on 5 o`clock.I`m loocking for overdrive sound than to distortion!Sometimes i
add to high gain of the amp some extra drive
(Cmatmods Brownie,Xotic BB preamp or N audio Firesound)but just a little bit!
I think if you add some delay to your sound it will make it smooter!Don`t forget if you use your amps high gain channel to plug the delay via SEND/RETURN of your amp!
Beautiful. I don't give props in my comments, but this is one amazing guitar and that's some great playing. Hard to beat a Gibson Les Paul and a Marshall tube amp. Adding a Floyd Rose tremolo is definitely a smooth move, though. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go rob a bank and snatch up an Alex Lifeson Les Paul Axcess...
@elvisaggy on this video i use mainly the high gain channel of the Marshall JCM900 model 4102 dual reverb and a little boost from a custom pedal N-audio firesound.
@pepislang thanks for the reply. but i'm quite amazed on the tones? how come the luthier here told me that it will loose all the tones on the body? sorry noob here. just wanna get your opinion on it sir. TIA!
@billycadiz I don`t hear any difference for the sustain of the guitar than befoere. Now it don`t go out of tune even after a hard long gig. It`s very difficult to mount a floyd rose on a round shape body as in this case.My luthier said it`s a big challenge to do it the right way.My advise is to buy a good tremolo-Floyd rose original by Schaller or Ping Floyd Rose and to hire the best luthier!
@dance2noise002 Thanks.I use Wampler ego compressor only for the clean tone, otherwise the sustain for solo tone is coming from the guitar, the high gain channel of the amp and the drive pedal(boss ds1)who i use just a little bit for a color of the sound. The more drive is straight from the Marshall amp!
Thanks for nice words dude. One of the best luthiers here in Bulgaria put the Floyd Rose and the bridge pickup(Seymour Dunkan JB)The original was mini humbucker as you maybe know, because it`s a Deluxe.Honestly i don`t remember what drive pedal i`ve been playn` with, but as i watch the video i see that i use the drive channel of the amp and maybe a little of added distortion from Boss DS1 which i don`t use anymore. This days i prefer to play with a Mesa V twin, BB preamp,or a Fulltone fulldrive 2
wow, your playing, and that lp looks better with floyd, i wanna make a lp guitar, but 24 fretted, and floyd, maybe a sustainer, and a blood splatter finish, but money is the problem,
Actually not. The China made ones dont look like a 70's Gibson LP Deluxe. What this one is. Also, those are not Gibsons. Those are counterfeit or fake guitars, just like, say, fake watches from China.
@thenextslash25 They don't make the truss rods with three pegs anymore in china. they're getting better. and the locking nut is what makes it seem that it has three pegs anyway.
Won't putting all of this stuff like pickups and floyd roses' make a Gibson >Les Paul go down? Because I mean a Les Paul increases in value the older it gets. I've always heard taking the original pickups made it increase in value but what about putting a floyd rose tremolo in it?
Can you buy a Les paul like that? or do you need to do it yourself?

@pepislang So you have your gain at about 2 or 3 you say? It sounds like you are using more gain than that.

Is the locking nut saddle smaller at length than the original Gibson saddle?
i'm asking because i want to install the same tremolo system to my Gibson Flying V
and i have that problem.

What kind of distortion are you using?
Also, who did the work for you? Putting the Floyd on.
Hear a lot of Holdsworth...very nice and melodic my friend--not a lot of extra notes. Kids need to learn that less is more...
Finally...chord progression? I
