  • Oh, I'm not saying the filipino gun are bad guns at all, cause I have my sights on a RIA right now. I know the springers are mostly made brazil, but I disagree about the springer not functioning well, but I can't argue cause I've never had a springer...

  • Yea I saw that. That is why you dont load a magazine without having a proper purchase of the weapon in the firing hand. :)

  • @Gunblastdotcom Does AC make a compact 1911?

  • @90foxfreak "AC" doesn't make anything. Metro Arms is the company that makes the American Classic run of 1911s. Their Compact is called the MAC Amigo and is similar to the ATI FX TITAN in appearance. They are both 3 inch bull barrel 1911s.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES I know Metro Arms makes the american classic!!!!!! I was asking if there was a American Classic compact 1911.. I know all about the Amigo now, Ive done my research. I can get a Springer for the price of an amigo. Thanx anyway..

  • @90foxfreak You wont get a springfield armory in that size with bluing.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES I didnt say " that size"!!!! Its a GI for $489.

  • @90foxfreak You'll put another 200 dollars into it (likely) to function well. Every Springfield I have owned was junk out of the box (GI and Mil-spec not high end). You aren't getting any advantage by buying a Springfield that is under 850-1000 dollars compared to the Filipino guns. Springfield farms out most of their manufacturing as well, and half their line up isnt built in the US either (Croatia and Brazil). Your better off with a 700 dollar Kimber if you are wanting to climb the ladder.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES also you may want to check out the STI Spartan. It is a Filipino Frame and slide ( I dont know if it is armscor or MAC) with custom STI internals. They are real nice, and cheaper than springfield as well. Also look into the Ruger SR1911. All American parts.

  • I you say it ok, where can I buy one , I only have 1000 bucks...i want 1911 , thanks, mark

  • Any gun dealer should be able to get one for you. if you are in the US, it should cost much, much less than $1000 US.

    Jeff

  • @bayoulongbowman If you're workin with $1000, theres no way you shud buy an american classic. I wud go with the Ruger SR1911.... But thats just me. You can get a very, very good 1911 for $1000 or less.. Im not saying the AC is a bad piece at all, but you get what you pay for.

  • @bayoulongbowman damn 1000 bucks to spare? go with it man, mine cost 449. you can afford a colt or a springfield, but a metro arms american classic 1911 is just as good

  • Jeff, I went and bought the Serpa CQC holster, its cut away and has the trigger finger retention button on the side. Man what a great holster for this ACII 45 pistol. I love it so much <I bought TWO!! Great advise as usual Partner, Thank you :) Herb :)

    Jeff

  • I took my MetroArms ACII to the range today for the first time. I shot S&B 230gr fmj and it was flawless. It shot point of aim. It is a keeper and I love it!

  • I don't know what happened when he was closing the slide by at any rate I cannot wait to pick my firestorm this thurs 1/14..

  • capacity magazine??

  • I often do things that are not good for me, such as eating too much, operating farm equipment, and riding Harleys. I even got married once.

  • Jeff those things aren't always "bad" for ya , in fact I count them as great , all that boils down to is living free and enjoying every second.

Thanks again for putting up such great reviews and videos to boot!

Anywho hope this 10th year sees you and yours well , have a safe happy and great year!

  • Thank you, sir. We'd never have made 10 years without our readers.

  • hahahaha!

  • Proudly phil made!

    magagaling na ang pinoy!

  • Gawang Pinoy yan .... may here in Marikina Philippines ... I've got one Mid Size ... great pistol for only 23,000

  • it does seem to be a well made gun -i just got myself a american classic 1911

  • It's made in the Philippines as the guy said.

  • Good luck finding one for $360, I paid $389 for a deluxe and that was before the current round of panic buying.

Love the gun but both the front and rear sights came flying off during shooting requiring a little work to fix.

He forgot to mention that the gun only comes shipped with one mag, but it is a high quality AMT, so no issues there.

  • yup! same problem here bro..the rear sights came flying off of my 45 commander hard chrome series when I was shooting a few round at the range

  • Yup, it's that crappy set screw - it isn't worth a damn.

  • I really like this guy, got that accent but obviously isnt a dumbass. Seems like a southern hospitality kind of guy, haha.

The deluxe is about $360, the standard 340, depending on where you shop. I would go with the deluxe, and will very soon.

  • Price?

  • I've got one of these, great pistol for the money, 800 rounds throught it so far and no problems or jams.

  • nice looking gun.

  • Nice.

  • Very nice. Thanks.

  • Its made in Spain at least mine is.

  • It's not made in Spain. It's made in the Philippines. The one made in Spain by Llama was discontinued due to numerous quality issues. The Firestorm series was then awarded to Metroarms Corporation of the Philippines.

I own a Metroarms Firestorm Contended in hardchrome which is my daily carry pistol replacing my Steyr M9A1. This pistol is more reliable than the Austrian made pistol.
