*Yeah, this video should really have its name changed to All Agumon and Greymon-species Digimon. It's very confusing. I myself was confused as well.

@maijie1999 There are technically more than two types of Greymon, but I'll take it as a minimum.

Geo Greymon is a subspecies of Greymon whose Signature skill is interestingly the same as Greymon with the X-Antibody's Certain Kill skill. Geo Greymon first appear in Digimon Next, where his evolution ends with Victory Greymon after Rize Greymon. Agumon's straps are a copy of his.

Also, Greymon could become Shine Greymon [Da-322, Sp-005], and Geo Greymon could become War Greymon [Da-235, Da-219].

And by the way, if you're going to call Digimon, please call them by the proper name. It's Greymon not "Blue Greymon" that makes it sound like a new Digimon. (If that's not what you meant, please capitalise proper names.) To differentiate, you can call them Greymon and Greymon from Xros Wars.

@123musicmonkey Vritramon known as "Burning Greymon" in the dub, isn't a Greymon, nor has he ever evolved particularly from an Agumon or a Greymon (Agnimon has though).

Only reason why I could think that Toy Agumon might not be here is because people seem to not want to count the games as part of the franchise, even though Digimon World came before any of the animes. And even though Toy Agumon appeared in Digimon Frontier, a lot of people didn't give it a second look, which is a real shame =(

@erat729 His name is actually DORUgremon, ドルグレモン in Katakana*. "DORUgreymon" is just a mistransliteration. Compare with Greymon which is グレイモン in Katakana.

*If you didn't know, Katakana is the standard way of writing Digimon's names. They're romanised according to the origins of the names. Digimoji, the Digimon Alphabet, is based off it.

It seems to just be a tribute, in the same way that DORUgamon is a tribute to Garurumon (but I have yet to see anyone insist that DORUgamon is a Garurumon).

Lastly, if you go to Shining Evolution that website has one of the best (if not the best) modified copy of Megchan's original Digimon Encyclopedia. It's the best lists for names on the Internet in English, and a table of each Digimon's attributes and cards.

@TinyTitian The number of Digimon which make it to the Final level (called "Mega" in the dub) is supposed to be very small. So it only makes sense that some Digimon don't have a mega form specifically designed for them to evolve into.

That said, Skull Greymon can evolve into at least Black War Greymon, Chaos Dramon (requires JOGRES), Demon, Mugen Dramon, Skull Mammon and War Greymon X-Antibody (requires triple JOGRES).

@bassel876876 Agumon (Virus) [St-136, Starter Ver. 3; 2000 April]. It never really came up in the anime, but several (non-virus of course) Digimon have virus-attribute variants. There's also Agumon Data from D-Project. Gabumon can be either Vaccine or Data; both look the same. Attribute variants are actually pretty common in Digimon, probably the most common variance.

There's really no difference other than one or the other may be barred from certain evolutions.
