This is a Grand Movie.. that deserves to be watched only on a Big Screen for the Royal feel. Guys like me have been fortunate enough to have watched this movie during in our School Days iin movie halls. Those lingering moments will never fade away. Madhubala has immortalised this movie !!!

that's really cool that you don't understand the song but you know that through madhubala's (the dancer) expressions that she's saying something heartfelt.

pyar kiya tho darna kiya means "I have loved, so what is there to fear?"

In the end she says:

"Our love cannot be hidden

Through all four directions I see him"

And then they show the Prince and King look around at the mirrors which justify the lyrics.

And she looks at the King to make her point. The expressions, the lyrics, the music, EVERYTHING is so beautiful in this movie.

This song was so important to the movie that it took hundreds of thousands of dollars (when converted from Rs. and adjusted for inflation) and the lyricist rewrote this song 105 times before it was approved!
