  • por dios amo esta cancion

  • This song reminds me of the pre-Gravity era, and it is the only song on the album that does that for me. Great album though. This song could have easily been released on Happiness...

  • this is a masterpiece song

  • One of their best songs! Where would this album be without it.? Reminds me a bit of Elton John on the chorus . This should be in rotation on Classic Rock stations ..its just that kind of song. Maybe re-release it somehow. Though the last two albums may be half filler to some they shine in this tune along with Angels Losing Sleep from HIPT..which IMO is one of those most beautiful songs ever written.

  • honestly the first time i sat and listened to this song it gave me chills all over my whole body. hope to see them live again someday

  • fucking life changing.

  • best ever, i listen this song maybe 10 times every week ^^

  • You know.. I hate it when people go off about old OLP and new OLP and hating or loving one or the other.. ever thought of loving the band that gave you something you enjoy? Thats far better than all these bands that are completely repetative and boring after ONE hit.. OLP has many many hits, many different sogns, to suit more than one taste.. that is talent, that is OLP, and god bless em.. Dont like a certain song or album? listen to the other that you love. thats why theres a hard copy

  • It just took me like, half an hour to learn how to play this on guitar.

    OLP is awesome!

  • I think its one of the best song.

  • Great song.

  • There are certain songs that you want to put on the Soundtrack of your Life, and this is one of them!

  • The problem is, Our Lady Peace released Naveed, Clumsy, Happiness, and Spiritual Machines all in the space of about er....5 years??

    What have they done since Mike Turner left 10 years ago nearly with Bob Rock and their crappy self produced album that no one likes................um nothing!!

  • @pleaseopenyourshop

    What have they done in those 10 years? Reinvented themselves. They sound nothing the same now, and change is good. If I want to hear Naveed six times, I want to hit repeat, not pop in Clumsy. This is Our Lady Peace, not Nickelback.

    But yes, Bob Rock sucks.

  • @Thor27436 Maybe things are different in Canada....but not everyone lives in Canada do they?? I have nothing against Nickelback apart from the fact they are ridiculously overated....

    As for Our Lady Peace, well, I just wish they got more radio play and people bought more of their records.....they were well known everywhere?? in 98 and 99...now not so much....thats why people like me seem to want them to get back to their past styles ... with their ORIGINAL (sniff, sniff) guitarist.

  • @pleaseopenyourshop

    It's actually a fact that Nickelback songs are extremely formulaic. I've had one song played through one speaker, and another song played through another speaker, and in almost all ways, they blended together as if a single song. The lyrics did not match.

    Our Lady Peace was embarrassed of their earlier work for a time, until they did the Clumsy/Spiritual tour. They are supposedly going back to that on the next record... though I also miss Mike Turner.

  • Hmm. Interesting video.

    ~~~
    with love,
    Z-RAY.
  • OLP has pretty much ALWAYS been one of my favorite bands. I find myself loving, or at least liking, all of their songs. "Somewhere Out There", "Starseed" and "Angels Losing Sleep" (even though the band NEARLY broke up during the making of that one).. these three were the greatest. And so when they finally came out with this album I had been anxiously awaiting.. I didn't have high expectations, cuz I've been disappointed by other bands' new albums. But! I found myself loving this song.
  • Can not stop listening to this since seeing them in concert.... <3 Best band for over 15 years!!! And still counting.
  • the best song they've ever written in my opinion, my fave
  • I could see Lennon singing this song. Cept you know... him being dead an' all.
    Good song.
  • Thats a pretty dumb comment there bud
  • Win!
  • I love this song...I am so buying this album :D
  • My favorite songs from Burn Burn are Paper Moon, Time Bomb, Signs of Life and Right Stuff... I really like this one.
  • Idk why the fuck ppl negativate this post... its a his fuckin opnion for god sake
  • it alryt, prefer the rockier edge version of their old songs better. but its okay
  • it's nice to hear his fallsetto.......
  • if anyone is going to say bad things about ANY of our lady peace songs then don't listen to it
  • to be honest i dont see how any of you can judge that song. yah it may not be just as good as the rest of their songs but when you rite lyrics they are a part of you put down on paper. and to hear ppl saying that lyrics you wrote are a "blemish or embarrasment?" thats like telling someone that theyre not good enough for your time. you dont like it? then dont listen to it.
  • @pianoscreemo Well spoken mate
  • That's a bit of an oversimplification. As a band evolves and changes their sound, it's important to stay true to your values and expert skills - OLP was known for cryptic lyrics and cunning guitar work and incredible singing. The last two albums did not share these values. Yes, they reinvented themselves but in a poor way. In fact, Burn Burn has been poorly received by true fans of the music, and praised by seemingly 13 year old hipsters being suckered by OLP's new emo image to appeal to teens.
  • @Redomar
    olp's been my fav band since 97...and i think this album is by far the best...no band in the world has this amount of talent. oh and i'm 26, not 13
  • @Redomar The thing that's lovely about people like you, you never stop being a dick, you can't seem to except that bands change and that some people may actually like the change. You just bitch and bitch and bitch and pull sweeping generalizations straight out of your rear, and in the end that makes you worse than these so called "13 year old hipsters". So, kindly, fuck off. I want to listen to new Our Lady Peace.
  • @pianoscreemo unless it's black eyed peas writing "I got a feeling, that tonights goonna be a good night" seventy times over in the song, then its just talentless shit that takes no meaning and has none
  • i really love this song :)
  • probably the only song i like on the new album.
  • ur serious....
    this album is fuckin amazing...well for my 1st olp album :P
    but i don't think there's realy any weak song..maybe refuge, but still
    MONKEY BRAINS!!
    ESCAPE ARTIST!
    DREAMLAND
    ALL YOU DID...
    THE END IS WHERE WE BEGIN??
    ther rest is good too but, c'mon
  • well no offense, but if this is your first olp album then you aren't exactly a big fan... you probably heard "all you did was save my life" on the radio, and bought the cd right? well if you've been a fan since naveed, clumsy and happiness.... then this album defiantly wasn't as good as the old stuff.
  • i'm a pretty big fan....i never had any of their early 2000's albums because i was 6 when i first heard life & in repair...first 2 songs i've heard from them, and they were both amazing songs...i just didn't have the conscience to ask someone in my family to buy the albums....or even for gravity and HIPT
  • and FUCK YOU for telling me i bought the album for "all you did"....first time i saw the vid, i swear i thought it was a gay-sounding song that  looks like it could be on twilight movies...but imagination aside i thought it was a really good song, one of their first upbeat ones since "were are you", also one of the best
    don't tell me i'm not a fan, because i liked them since they're the first rock band i've heard when i immigrated from the philippines to CND. and i have all their past-singles
  • okay, well you made it sound like this is the first olp you've ever heard, that's not my fault, be more specific next time.
  • i will then...
  • for reals.
  • for real.
  • All you did is an embarrassment to OLP. They should have never written it. THE most redundant and cliche song ive ever heard...the one blemish on an otherwise flawless library of music from one of my favourite bands of all time
  • lol...ok...w/e u say bud, Somewhere Out There would like a word with you...though it's good too...
    All you Did.. vs. Somewhere Out There
    hmm..
    AYD >>>>SOT
    compared to AYD, SOT is very unoriginal, mainstream, and too simplistic. though, in osme levels, it's more epic than AYD
  • Somewhere Out There is more enjoyable, in a narrower way.
  • @SteRDLK
    nah not really...
    when i listen to gravity, i force myself a bit to listen to SOT actually...it was cool back then, but that's what happens when you have an uber-mainstream rock song..."sorry" , "a story about a girl", and "do you like it" would be way better singles than SOT...no...BRING BACK THE SUN!
    but this is better than like 70-80% of Gravity tbh
  • @kennygmang I actuallt think that Somewhere out there sounds far better now than it did then.......its just the video is really stupid.......Our Lady Peace used to be an alternative rock band.....now they are like nearly everything except what they used to be.
    THATS THE PROBLEM.
    HEY MIKE TURNERS COMING BACK DID YOU KNOW!!??..........hahahaha, well I will be giving it another 2 to 3 yeats anyway.
  • @kennygmang clearly you don't understand music very well if you think SOT is more unoriginal than AYD. Its full of all cliches you hear in every band's lyrical library. It just similies the entire song. "like the red sea you split me open" Barf.
  • this wasnt the song i was looking forrr
    but im glad i found it its so good :)
  • this is an amazing song
  • After their last album i told myself it was a nice run with OLP.... but like must post-grunge bands i thought they would fade. I remember buying their album clumsy when i was 12yrs old... listened to it over and over... Still rocking... Def my Fav live band!
  • I have been a loyal fan to all the work that this great canadian band has put out since my very first expierence of them when I was 16 jamming superman's dead off of there clumsy album which is really close to being my fav album. But all in all this band has put great unique music out since about the time of KURT C. Death. GOOD SOLID BAND coming from a loyal denver co US fan! Much respect to OLP! :)
  • COLORADO FTW!! (Boulder native)
  • our lady peace is my favorite band ever and this album is fuckn amazin. one of their best but theyre all so good
  • Man, how do they do it? Every song is so beautiful in its own way. I've loved our lady peace since I was 7 and my email is named after one of their songs. :3 I love our lady peace soooo muuuuch.
  • for a band to reinvent themselves pretty much every album since there first, and to be successful every time is amazing, and it's even more amazing that they havent lost ''it'' or broke up like a lot of bands from the nineties, our lady peace never seem to run out of originality, and always have really good albums, keep rockin olp:D!
  • it's a shame everyone's a whiny bitch and think that old OLP is hands-down better...yeah fucking right.
    people these days are so fucking close-minded. If they weren't people would see that new olp is almost as good, if not as or better
    Burn Burn is probably of their 3 best crafted albums. not one song is bad
    HIPT is their most complete album. not one song i hated.
    Gravity, while not that great, was still a great mainstream album.
  • @kennygmang
    amen,
    hipt is my favorite olp album by far,
    and this one is amazing
    every album is really really good,
    there all just a step in a different direction
  • @ian0708
    Maybe more people will shut the fuck up when OLP puts out their 8th album, because Raine states that they are re-visiting more of their old sound with the album.
    That, I would enjoy. Hey, it might be a great fusion of old feel and new sound, like Monkey Brains, one of my favs.
    People coming back to them because they think their middle albums "suck"? That I can't stand.
  • the "high, low pitch" that you're talking bout he does loads in HIPT.
  • im liking this song, like sitstandnow said he finally has some of his high low pitch, tha we havnt heard since gravity really. good song, fave on the album
  • YEAHH HE HAS A LITTLE OF HIS HIGH-LOW PITCH VOICE THINGY IN THIS SONG :D
    after so long
  • man...OLP 4ever :')
    they have changed a lot their music style
    but still being the best :D
    yeaH!
  • yeah, you have to progress with music...otherwise you'll just be around for a few years and be labeled as "that grunge band from the 90s" etc.
  • This song has a lot of soul...I'm liking it a lot...
  • the falsetto is the highlight of the song
  • I don't know, if you were solely identified by one singing trick (falsetto,) wouldn't you want to prove you could sing without it?
  • I saw OLP in Grande Prairie at the Summer Slam! It was so cool! They played this song :P
  • Burn Burn is great album, just for me, not OLP... still love it... but just klf;sdha
    Gravity is my favorite album of all time next to The Beatles Abbey Road..... but when i heard Spiritual Machines, Naveed, Clumsy, and Happiness. i fell in love(nohomo) their music is amazing, onlty songs i dont like are most the songs form HIPT.....
  • woot the beatles and OLP couple of best bands in the world
  • yeah saw OLP in halifax, yeahhhh sweet!! There so good live!
  • I love their new CD. Its just another side of OLP I haven't heard before. More to LOVE!
  • Saw these guys at Edfest, So good!!
  • Wow so far so good, they put out some pretty awful albums in the past..this is def not one of them....hopeing "Live" takes a cue and puts something out good too, they use to be so good back in the I Alone, Run to the Water days
  • what awful albums are u talking about? their older stuf was golden
  • probably means gravity and the mainstream albums
  • Not quite sure what awful albums you're referring to?
    Healthy in Paranoid times was def not mainstream, but there were still a few songs I liked on that album...every other one has been sick.
    Happiness is not a fish that you can catch, Gravity, Live, Spiritual Machines, Clumsy! All great albums.
    this one will also join the ranks of great albums. 6/7 GREAT albums, and 1 decent one...i'd say that's pretty damn good.
  • *Naveed as well... so 7/8
    :)
  • Naveed is my FAAAAAAVORITE!!!!
  • Great song, but still doesnt compete with anything from thier older albums.
  • I agree with you, about the song not compairing to older albums. Bands change unfortunately. I can hear some parts that remind me of the old, but just not feeling the excitement flowing through my veins when I listen to the new stuff. Great bands like this one, 10years, Goo Goo Dolls, they're just not the same anymore...
  • i agree :)
  • I was thinking that if you knew a way out then I'd like to go with you, And we could burn out like candles under that paper moon..
    Amazing.
  • just another side of raine's music creativity...
  • the intro into this song just got me hooked on it cant stop listening to it
  • The only song on the new album worth anything.
    Raine shows a flash of his old writing and vocal flair
  • pretty sure monkey brains is the closest to old OLP you'll ever get.
  • In keeping with Raine's writing his entire career... you can probably interpret the lyrics how you want. If it means something to you, then it does. There's not really a right or wrong meaning to the song
  • Our Lady Peace = Greatest band ever
  • Nicol44 you're an idiot. both of those songs are amongst the hits, otherwise they wouldnt be on "a decade".
  • Don't be so fucking naive...not everyone deserves forgiveness
  • Its not about suicide, its about being somewhere you really dont wanna be or fit in, like an office party, you notice someone else who seems to be in the same pickle as you and you two use that as a common ground and you both leave to have a good time else where.
    really about getting caught up in a life full of crap and fakes and finally realizes that you can just change it when ever you want.
    "burn burn burn like fabulous roman candles" -Jack Kerouac, On the Road
  • Agreed, this is exactly how I interpreted this song. Seeing as how I have felt this way about life on numerous occasions I can really relate to this song. It's definitely not about suicide.
  • If you pay attention to the lyrics, it sounds like the song is talking about suicide
  • i like his singer best in this song
  • Our Lady Peace is THE BEST! I Was So Happy When Innocent Was On Scrubs And Somewhere Out There Was On White Noise. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL BURN BURN COMES OUT!!!
  • Innocent is one of the best I think. It shows you that everyone is innocent no matter what and that they can be forgiven.
  • I soo agree, thats what i like about our lady peace's music theres always some sort of meaning :)
  • of course, its your opinion some people think differently... like me,but you probably dont care
    GO OLP!
  • I like their older stuff but i consider both of those songs in my top ten
  • This is the best song I've heard from them in quite a while. Although I haven't heard the entire album, I'm pretty sure it's gotta be awesome. OLP ROCK ON!!
  • This song is better than their single.
  • this song is amazing, got to meet them last nite at a private radio session, before there concert in buffalo ny.. got a signed BURN BURN cd and the whole cd is amazing. truely great!!! and raine and steve are so amazing to talk to one on one. amazing artist!!!
  • If you have the CD put it on youtube!!!!!!! or send me it lol.. because that would be awesome
  • Awesome song. This is the olp I grew up loving all those years ago. Can't wait to get my hands on the album. <3 <3 <3
  • great song....
  • like it
  • That Solo at the end is so sick.
  • Album is sounding gooood! July 28th in W. Hollywood! I can't wait!
  • I'll be there as well, it's gonna be sweet
  • awesome! =) 19 days to showtime :D
  • how can they ever top this?
  • They'll find a way...
  • Oh my eff I love it!
  • I was thinking that if you know what way then I'd like to go with you. There's something after way... My best guess would be... I was thinking that if you know what way out then I'd like to go with you...
  • Actually... I'm pretty sure it's:
    "I Was thinking that if you know a way out, then I'd like to go with you.
    We can burn out like candles under that paper moon."
  • Yeah, that seems to be it. For some reason I had trouble with that lyric
  • Changed the lyric. Thanks guys!
  • I am pretty sure it is "Hipsters trapped in their own irony"
  • I relate to this song.
  • July 3rd Buffalo NY!!!!! Can't wait~~~
    Seen them 5 times. Amazing band~
  • errr... mistake in the lyrics.
    he says "hipsters trapped [...]", not "hips just trapped [...]"
  • AMAZING!!!
    =D
    I can't stop smiling!
  • man this is coool
