I'm glad you were open minded enough to take a step outside your normal listening habits and enjoy this. I try to keep my mind open as well, but there are certain types of music I don't think I'll ever be able to appreciate such as Polka.
pjdoowop, i made a list of songs from your postings that i need for my juke box. some of the records are very exspensive, but i`m goin for it. thanks for the great music. i`m a little younger the most, but love the music. thanks again. biggary from pa.
I'm glad I've helped you build your want list. You'll have a tough time finding some of the 45s I post... I've posted some of my prized records, and a lot of them were very hard to track down
Exactly. I knew this stuff could (and would) be copied when I put it up. I got over getting angry.. It's an assumed risk I have to be willing to take when I upload something. I still have a lot of records that I'm iffy about uploading, but I'll probably give in and put them up at some point.
Yes, that is my picture of my 45. I own all of the 45s pictured in my videos. I could start an argument, but it's not worth it. What matters is the music is being promoted.
Wow, this is great. Otis Williams made terrific records and cover versions. His "In Paradise" (I wore this record out on my Victor 45 player as a kid) is better than the Cookies' disc. Chimes and riffing at the end - mmmm! Thank you!
The Baby Dolls song was on the Maske label out of Philly. Different song, but interesting because Jocko Henderson answers the girls at the end with "great googa-mooga, it was my pleasure. Great record by a great girl group.
@chess1458 Hi Chess 1458, That is not a Julebox Sticker on the record. It is a numbering system that was used to file your records away in your record carrying case. I remember those well from back in the 50's and early 60's.
Hey PJ, how you doing brother?? I love this song, omg!! Play it over and over. I just love the lyrics!! LOL
Van Mc Coy did the same song and also a girl grroup- I believe it was The Dolls or Baby Dolls? Are you familar with it? Id love to hear it.
Another song which I have been looking for years I cannnot find is my song- Paul's Love by The Sweeties on End!! Could you post that if you have it? I would so appreciate it.
Paul? As in my buddy Paul? Nice to hear from you man. I figured it was you because you were asking about The Sweeties record a few years back when I had last seen you. I will post that for you. The Van McCoy song is GREAT, but it's a totally different tune. There's a nice soulful girl group version of The Van McCoy song, but it's not by The Baby Dolls. I'm not familiar with their version
Love this song...used it many times at the close of a dj gig.....

This great song reminds me of the GG shows on WPIX in NY, 1970-1971, he always played it at the end of the show.
