umm, brains replaced by computers... there are some psychological processes that we don't even come CLOSE to understanding right now... I think 3500 at the earliest. However, "jacking into the machine" is possible with bleeding edge tech (seriously, they have hooked up quadripalegics to these "hairnet" like things and had them manipulate objects on a screen like a cursor, how long before we see practical application of that tech?)

I don´t know about any brain replacements but we´ll totally have implants of some sort. No questions about it. It´ll start as a way to treat diseases such as alzheimer/MS but in time it´ll be standard procedure to enhance performance even in healthy people.

But I remember a video about an idea that told us to imagine a little chip that is capable of imitating a neuron. Then someone would take your neurons 1 by 1 and replace them on a robotic body with those chips, the mechanical neurons would be linked to your brain by wires and you would be awake during the entire process, sooner or later there wouldn't be bio brain but only a mechanical brain, and you wouldn't have even fallen asleep.
