You can use the ends as a garnish too. Slice them lightly lengthwise all the way around. It'll bloom if you put it in ice water. I call them scallion brushes. Don't forget to cut off the roots if you'll be using them as a garnish.

@zebb1111 lol, i already have a TON in the garden, i put most of them in the ground, what I am thinking is when it hits winter, its a good way to grow something. But now that I know it will work, im going to put a little liquid fertilizer in :) And I am not poor :( just thrifty! :)
