@MrLearn2board there are 4 engine mounts. 2 on either side and one in the front and one in the back. The b18 only uses the 2 on the sides and the one in the back but you will need a mount kit so the b18 mounts correctly into the engine bay.

@MrLearn2board There is no "kits" per se, however you can purchase complete engines that come with axels, transmission, ECU, wiring, etc. However, the wiring is a tad tricky and you will need to combine both the wiring harnesses to make one harness that fits the b18 into the ef electronics. Get ready to solder/ shrink wrap.

Just spun a bearing myself in the snow on my D17a2 @ 122K on the clock, picking up a barely used '03 D17a2 to replace with 45K on it, total cost with the headblock $450+$75 to tow it to my place. I'm pretty much in the same position as the guy who made this vid. Never worked on my car except for easy stuff like oil cahnge and brakes, rotors, coolant. Renting a hoist, and need a dolly to hold the new block before I start the project. Good vid!

lol at 2;40, i just realized you took the whole linkage out to change the shifter... you can do it while it is still on the car. just jack it up and squeze on under and youll get the shifter out in about 2 minutes with a 10mm and 12mm wrench set and some paitence with the tight space. ill make a video and post it as a video response of how to do it with it still on like the hatchy though :)

pwjdm is pretty pricy. if you plan on building one. like full internals. i would just buy a used one with lower miles. We pick up B18 non vtecs for our rally car for like 100 bucks and thats just the engine, no manifolds or anything.

true true i just hooked up the speedo cable today so far the car remains like this Honda CRX manual 5speed engine swap to a b18a1 daul overhead cam 4 wheel disc brakes. mods-[headers],[exhaus],[stage 2 wilwood racing clutch].[ecu],[short ram intake],[rims],[lower shocks],[steering/steering wheel],[headlight/taillights], battier is located in the back. it has a alram. nice sound sys im only 17 years old and its a great first car.

Your an idiot. Why would he use a b16 head on the ls, if he already has a GSR head on it? k20 throttle body? why waste his time. What he needs to do is make sure the rod bolts and head studs are arp before he takes that ls/vtec to 8k and spins a bearing.
