the hauntings are totally fabricated they just did it for the show but when you see the hotel or go inside the stories are stuck in your head and you can't help but think about them!
@hellraisr1981 if you think there is no way in then you havent found it yet, my dad worked on FEAR there too, he followed the people around wearing nightvision goggles and stuff, also i know most of the stories are fake but, he said he quit working with MTV because he was talking to the producer or whoever and my dad said it is not haunted, and his cross on his necklace broke off and fell to the floor.
@RuneOwnzz Dude I worked at the BHI in 2002. I did the special effects/trained the actors for the event. Was in there a bunch of times, courtesy of the Inns' ex-owners. Idk about it being haunted, I can tell you per the owners and many involved in the event, most of the stories MTV elaborated on for the filming of the FEAR episode. I contacted Vince, the current owner a few times re getting in, but he wants nothing to do with it. I have been there DOZENS of times, since the fires, no way in.
@jsanbeg i was able to get in last night when i went and i found the way in from a friend of mine how can i explain it.....ill get a pic from google earth and comment in a min
This is total B.S. check out this story from the local news station. People are ruining this building based on a STUPID story ran on MTV! wnep.com/news/countybycounty/wnep-mon-buck-hill-inn-haunted,0,7745264.story
I've been in this place many years back for a haunted halloween tour. Still wish they did those. Its pretty creepy inside. I remember buying one of the old room key tags as a souveneir.
MTV's Fear made up a good portion of the stories. A few years back, the owner(s) ran a haunted house around Halloween and, while waiting, told us that producers were upset when they were told by a medium that only happy spirits resided at the Inn.
But that's not to say there isn't anything in the building...
can somebody please tell me if you can get permission to get in here now, or do you have to break in, and if so how tight is security... please get back to me!
@LankyGarry Getting permission to go on the site is near impossible from what I've heard. But there's not harm in trying. There are private residences in the area and it is patrolled. I simply parked across the street from the Inn to take some pictures and a security guard happened to come by and told me that I can't park there. And a girl I know did get caught one night while inside the building but I don't think she faced any charges. May be luck of the draw.
jmore718 you just failed "Ghost Hunting 101" man, get permission 1st lol..Im wondering seeing the Pocono's is a honeymoon hotbed, if 1/2 those spirits are former divorced couples comming back to haunt the place lmao!!
me and my friends just went there last night......we had trouble finding a way in but after a while we found a boarded up door that was weak so we got in...ITS CRAZY IN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well lots of noises were heard by all of us...and we actually found room 354 which was supposedly the most haunted room and im gonna have to agree with that 100%...i went into the bathroom in there with no light or anything while my boy stood outside and i felt like someone grabbed my shoulder and whispered "hey" in my ear...and then i jetted....definitely a CRAZY place!!
Sounds like you're lucky that's the only thing that happened! O_O
That's one really STRONG manifestation, for you to feel it grab you physically, like that. You could've really been hurt. Glad you're okay. I've experienced a haunting, near my home, where the spirits don't grab people physically - they grab them mentally. Wear people down with depression and dementia, at least 2 people have died in the last 4 years and a 3rd person went to the insane asylum. Hauntings are serious business!
Well....i can honestly say that i was a skeptic all my life about "ghosts" and hauntings but i am a 100% believer after this experience...me and my friends are looking online for any other places to check out next.
The best thing to do is to go to google, type in the name of your hometown and then, type in "ghost hunting" or "paranormal research". A good and reputable ghost hunting group will often take you on a ghost hunting trip and will let you get a good look at their equipment, will explain to you how it works.
If you're in PA, then you're not too terribly far away from Ohio. Google "Mansfield Reformatory haunted tours". It's the prison where "Shawshank Redemption" was filmed.
