@wimmyroadisback TVRs aren't illegal. They were imported here until 1987 but their latest cars haven't met safety/emissions standards. The new Russian owner is trying to start importing them again soon and I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!! =D

@xanadanBwow Yeah your are right man. The E63 is a truly muscle beast. I like to think the M3 as one few authentic sports car. End even when the Sagaris has no electronics assist. I think - and this is just a personal thing - that the Sagaris is sophisticated just by the way it looks. It's a neat mean machine.

ever since i watched Swordfish with John Travolta driving that Tuscan i was absolutely in love with TVR... so sad they have gone under though. :( i would love to own a Tuscan or Sagaris or Cerbrera. they should have exported to America in large numbers. maybe they would still be around.

There was a LHD version for mainland europe.

U couldn't buy a TVR in the USA because of sill safety laws.

US laws require cars to have airbags and fairly strong bumpers.

These laws keep a lot of low volume manufacturers from importing cars to the USA.

Supercar makers like Ferrari have enough money to meet these regulations but for an "ordinary" small volume sports car maker it's just way too expensive just for a few cars a year.

Right to bear arms but not to have a car without airbags
