@chroniclesofervil are you in Japan or the USA? i own one and i found out the hard way that this takoyaki cooker operates on 100 volts not 120.  so if your in the USA your getting 20 extra volts and that's why it burns them, it's getting too hot from the extra electricity. solution, go to radio shack and tell the you need something to cut electricity from 120 down to 100 volts.

First off the bat, he didn't oil the molds. Secondly, you put the batter in first, THEN the filling goes in AFTER. Thirdly, he didn't WAIT long enough for the takoyaki to set before he turned on the automatic flipping arms. For a proper demonstration of this appliance type in "liflavor" in the search bar and that will give you an example of how this device really works.

I like the noise that this machine is making. I think the error might have been when you put the octopus in first, I think it was sticking to the pan so the ball couldn't turn. Maybe better to pour first the batter and then pop in the octopus.
