  • i got some potent stuff and 2.4 don't cut it. gonna step up to 3.5, 4 once i have the proper setting. my family thinks i'm insane to begin with, ruin my trips with their god damn noises and tv. i need to go to the fuckin desert i can't deal with these negative people leading me away from spiritual enlightenment and into a meaningless wage slave existence. all my friends are worthless unenlightened pussies that's why i had to drop them all. fuckin mooch assholes. i wish i had a good DMT friend.

  • @wiggitywaKa and a hot groovy chick to trip balls with and play music together while we sway in the wind and dance to the vibration of our pulsating throbbing brains.

  • how bad is 1g as a start, cause i know i would be a lightweight to it guaranteed.

  • @mjksl

It's always best to begin on the safe side. Some mushrooms are more potent than others and everyone's brain chemistry is different.

  • @sagewisdom09 Yeah exactly what i was thinking and it seems the most reasonable. I was thinking like 0.5 to 1

  • @mjksl i tripped the hardest on 1.75g dried , the highest dose i had was 3grams dry (usual dose for me). It all depends on the strain imo

  • @herbalpeace definitely, more is not better. if one is inclined and ready then a bit more is ok.

  • @mjksl for sure 1g to 1.5g is best for starters. it all depends on tolerance. guy that has done em continuously will need more for more effect... mush is no different in this regards.

never do the next day.. always wait a few days or a week for next experience. im talking from experience.

  • @cyazuri thanks a lot man!

  • @mjksl im a lightweight to it too but i eat 3.5 grams at a time.. If you want to get a spiritual experience or just explore your mind; the more the better... no matter how scary it is, its for the better and youll be much happier in the end.. just yesterday i made me and 3 of my friends eat 3.5 grams each at one time; one thought they had died and come back he says hes been reborn.. terrence mckenna recomends 5 grams for an ego killer guess for him it was 3.5

  • @mjksl

ull hear a lot about set and setting which means where ur mindset is and literally the setting around you if you are in a small room or if you keep ur eyes closed throughout the trip u dont need very much to get intense visuals and and intense mind trip if you are out in the wild far from civilization you can usually take more but if you have never done it before start off with a half eighth with a friend you are close to

  • Wow god damn I got alot of help about this....Im now ready to see the world as a man (high on drugs lol)

  • its so hard to get shrooms around where i live. but DMT is another story >:D

  • @skateboardingisfuked really? who do you ask to get dmt lol

  • @dbufi a good friend of mine knows how to make it :D

  • @skateboardingisfuked lucky

  • @dbufi How is he lucky? It only costs 50-60 dollars to buy the supplies to make your own DMT crystals, DMT is one of the easiest illegal drugs to get, next to marijuana.

  • @demonxthedk it's definitely not one of the easiest to get, that' ridiculous. how many people are willing to go through the extraction process and risk going to jail selling it to random people? not a lot apparently. if i wanted heroin in my town i bet i could find it in ten minutes

  • CAN mushrooms survive in space on some level? or the predecesor of the mushroom when the meteor hits? or a combination of molecules?

  • cubensis take me out like the furthest. cyans and azures give me more of a body fry. more potent by weight though. never had pan cyans though... yet

  • whats a safe amount to take? Im a virgin when it comes to this lol

  • @xxSAGACITYxx

I'd suggest starting low, like 1.5 grams, just to get an idea of how it feels.

  • @sagewisdom09 and what kind? im taking notes

  • @xxSAGACITYxx Dried cubensis or similar varieties.

  • @xxSAGACITYxx Shrooms get exponentially stronger, so a 4g trip will be way more stronger than a 2g trip. NEVER and I repeat NEVER dose 3g higher than what you have done before. For example if 3g is the highest you have done never up the dose to 6g because you think you can handle it. I would say start with 1.5g then 2.5 the next time and if you can handle that then 3.5 and so on.

  • I remember being on shrooms, lying on my back looking up at the stars and thinking......

"wow, that is where we all came from."

    awesome.

  • awwwwww man.... i thought he was actually gonna be on mushrooms because of the title :P

  • I've only eaten cubes, I've eaten about 3 ozs wet, and about 20gs dry, I'm alive and well. Wish I had access to pans or azuras

  • i imagine that the late Bill Hick's quote of "drugs were put here to speed up our evolution" was inspired by the late Mr. McKenna. he went on to act out his "stoned ape" theory on stage, afterall...;^) much of what was said here was really cool, but his utterances about vegetarianism and agriculture were kinda koo-koo. it would be good to hear this entire talk....

  • I think everyone should take mushrooms. If there is one thing that would indeed create and shape a new diverse culture, are mushrooms. We need to take the stand and shout it out to everyone! This is it folks! Once you've done them, you know. ;)

  • This guy is a fucking genius

  • doonnt doo shrooooms maaaan it baaaad mkeey

  • One more thing to note; Most people play it "safe" with shrooms. Yet "playing it safe" or dosing down really does just limit the depth of your experience. A significant quantity is required in order to allow the personality to "dissolve". Be responsible, find safe place with an experienced sitter...know you are in for an initially shakey ride before you get to the profound stuff. I wish you all an amazing life changing experience..:)

  • @connectedcollective 14 grams of p. cubensis ;) that otta be fun

  • @ThatsWhatMcGuireSaid Try 14 Grams Of p. cyanescens or P. Azurescens I dare ya.....

  • @x4aperfecttool 14 grams wet or dry...?

  • @iSmkGrnBud dry of course

  • @x4aperfecttool 14 grams hahah you still a live brother? hahah

  • I completely understood this about mushrooms last time I tripped. I was possessed by a playful, intelligent, gentle/humble yet infinitely creative childlike energy which I figured to be the essence of psilocybin...This fungal intelligence taught me how to "speak" a new language (which i've now forgotten) a beautiful combination of clicks, sighs, small half-giggles and passionate expressive sounds...my fingers twined celtic knotwork and each energy meridian on my body was a gateway to the stars!

  • Who else listens to Terrance McKenna for a legal high? :D

  • Has Terence McKenna written a book on this theory?

  • absolute zero -273

  • siete una machina di sapienza. questo e vero.

  • We're all descended from Buddhist space mushrooms and should go back to living in tribes?

I like this guy, and yes I'm exaggerating what he said slightly, but really this makes no sense.

  • @sharperguy

I disagree, would you like me to systematically explain to you why I disagree? and how, to me, Mckenna's talk makes total sense --> although it is largely speculative and hypothetical?

  • sooo...are you a bug or a plant?

  • @nomorejournos I'm a troll.

  • don't fight here

  • the mushroom spore is stronger then titanium and survives at absolute zero, which is something like 200 degrees below zero, a perfect spaceship to travel the universe.

  • @intuitiveworker we've never been able to come close to that temperature so youre full of shit :)

  • @8MunchenBayern8 mushroom spores survive in outer space.

  • @intuitiveworker yes, but it fits on the tree of life of evolutionary theory which destroys that notion entirely

  • @intuitiveworker Where did you get this information from?

  • I'm pretty sure all plants grow off of dead material, dirt. Based off of this the mushroom is bhudist in nature? Oh boy. Is he proposing mushrooms as being intelligent life forms? Doubling brain size? Come the hell on this guy is retarded what's with the overwhelming positive ratings? Are you serious? REALLY?

  • @2muchgametime <-------- you have had too much game time -_- take the plants yourself before you start throwing insults and study it yourself

  • You can't attain enlightenment from drugs. This is kid's stuff. What goes up must come down. The real deal is to BE high not GET high. Drugs are just more attachment and clinging of mind and ultimately the way to self destruction. Do real spiritual practice and you will achieve these states and far beyond effortlessly. Choose life. Don't be just another drug basket case.

  • @sqweezel you havnt done mushshrooms before so shut the fuck up

  • Comment removed

  • @alliant i think you commented to wrong person , i didnt say anything about something not making sense

  • @markwindsorr

you are right lol. sorry friend

  • @sqweezel respect for the comment. you are right in a way but you can attain enlightment through pyschedelics but you can teach your body through deep meditation

  • The other day I was told a story about a trick. The trick had something to do with eating mushrooms in the woods in order to talk to the trees. The story went on about how this guy Terence Mckenna was told to go on the internet and tell people about this trick, by the trees themselves, so as to create a bridge between the main human comm. network, and the one the trees are using. The trees asked this of him, so that more humans would come out in the forest. The one who told me this was a tree.

  • Why are so many appalled by Terence's Ideas? Look at the facts! Evolution is happening and always has been seen the first incident of observable matter or energy..the big bang or what ever you want to call it. We haven't always been humans and we won't always be humans, especially if we survive another 3000 years. There is some reason why humans suddenly appeared out the evolutionary background. Terence simply proposes a symbiotic relationship between mushrooms. Take a trip and you will get it.

  • Success for Managers means: I want to be in healthy relationships. I want a real connection with people I spend so much time with.

  • O.o he started out pretty sane and understandable but after like halfway through... wow. he's pretty out there man. lol, crazy hippy. cool guy though.

  • WHAT THE FUCK

  • Poor old Terence's mind decomposed. This man was one sick individual.

  • @sqweezel Decomposed? What do you think cancer is? His brain took off...:)

  • i guess that the shroom picture at 1:00 are dutch king :-) share love in life, peace out!

  • is there any evidence of the past usage of mushrooms to enhance consciousness.. ?

Many past civilizations were seeded from off world, they were advanced to begin with.

  • @SovereignBeing Well, a lot of people think that Hindus don't kill/eat cows because Shrooms grow the best on cow shit, But there is definitely evidence of past usage by Hindus and many more.

  • The insight of this man is remarkable!

  • I like the idea that hallucinogens promoted creativity that may have created an evoltionary imperative to grow bigger brains but his comment about "neurotransmitters" in mushrooms is just BS. A neurotransmitter is only such in the context of neurons. A mushroom has none. The mycelia are not neurons. The fungi do not have brains. The problem with people like him is that they base to much of their thinking on their experience of trips. I've had some wierd fucking trips. Lets stick to science eh...

  • @DrSpooglemon lol our concept of "science" only applies in this universe, within the physical realm.

All our laws and rules are irrelevant within the realms of the metaphysical.

  • @mustbeburtreynolds Yes, and in this physical realm there are such things as mushrooms. And these mushrooms do not have neurons. Whatever you wish to conjecture about possible non-physical realms if you wish to discuss this physical realm in any meaningful way then the scientific method is the best way of doing so. Trips are just a form of entertainment in my view. Not a way of exploring reality...

  • @DrSpooglemon Neurotransmitters are chemicals, like seretonin, which is very similar to psilocybin. (IE:they are not brain cells.) Please tell me you're not a scientist, Dr. Spooglemon

  • Comment removed

  • @JMB177 I know nerotransmitters are not brain cells. NEURONS are brain cells. And a chemical can only be said to be a neurotransmitter in the context of brain cells. The effects of any given neurotransmitter(serotonin, dopamine, etc) have nothing to do with their molecular sructure but with the neural circuits that they act upon. Psylocibin is very similar to serotonin and it exacts its effects on our nervous system by disrupting the action of serotonin. Fungi don't have nervous systems...

  • @DrSpooglemon I agree, but he claims that they have neurotransmitters, not nervous systems.

  • @JMB177 Psilocybin is not a neurotransmitter in any animal as far as I know, but even if, for the sake of argument, we say that it is it isn't a neurotransmitter in the mushroom. In anycase he does allude to them having nervous systems when he talks about the network of mycelia.

Anyway I think we can agree that psilocybin is fantastic...

    ಠ‿ಠ

  • @DrSpooglemon True true, more people need to agree on that. All arguements would end this way.

  • this man is great!, he has the ability to describe at least 10% of what happens in a mushroom trip.. its so hard to explain the things happening to people outside of that world. man.. magic mushrooms... <33

  • I've searched for 3 years and still not had luck finding an effective psilocybin dose. I need to have a car. But first I need to have some money.

  • This theory is on to something because mushrooms don't fossilize nor do most fungus so modern science knows next to nothing about its evolution. Yet they seem more complex than any other life form

  • There's only that one douchebag who has to dislike a perfect clip.

  • @DemonSemon117 looks like he's got two friends now

  • On Dec. 20 2012, around 10pm at night, Im going to dose 8 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. This way, if the world begins to end, I will be tripping balls and it may even be the secret key to survival.

  • @MrGhostblood LOL. There is no end in 2012. There is only an evolution. Like everything else evolve...

btw don't worrie, there is nothing to worrie about because we are a part of a bigger entity... salvia will show you the other side... the spirit world.

  • @LikeTotallyRich dude i agree! salvia was like letting me see through a window to this world from another, and when i explored the other world i was taken too, i had insights of things that were to happen during the year to come. I shit you not, its symbolism was so accurate in how my life has changed. There are messages from beyond and we can learn if we are willing to learn. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear!

  • @nthomson same with me but not with salvia but with philosophers stones:) we live in exciting times

  • @diablikmick That shit can almost be too much. Part of me believes this should only be done once or twice due to the fact we will never fully understand its wonders, hence why there is something behind the curtain provided us with lessons of the universe, not so much knowledge because as animals and creatures we are the observer and learner not the full on creator. Were are students and there is a teacher who has provided an infinite level of lessons.

  • @nthomson well I agree with you that it can be to much and that it has infinite lessons indeed, but I disagree about once or twice:) it should be taken with care and not to much, like once in the month or 2 months.

    but yeh they are teachers;P

  • @diablikmick True, for me, the one time was enough. But that is a personal testimony. I surfaced a million problems almost better left suppressed because we as imperfect humans sometimes are unable to solve that many issues in one sitting. If the circumstances were different, then maybe i would feel Different. But one can learn these lessons with a clear mind too. The shrooms allow your subconscious and conscious state intertwine, allowing greater data transfer and examination from two sources.

  • @nthomson damn dude, you speak the exact truth right there.

It is like your hard disk is suddenly upgraded by a 6000000% factor and you are connected to the information stream of the universe:)

and yeh people think to much about questions and dont go with the flow

  • @diablikmick Haha thanks man. You put it perfectly! There is so much information allllll around its soooo tight! People are afraid of getting smarter i guess.

  • 2:51 that factor has been argued to be the development of bipedalism

  • thanx 4 the vid, terrific, ive done shrooms but ended far to quick,i was bummed wanted it to stay longer, took more didnt do shit, tried again another day,was never the same, the best i mean the best most wonderful high i ever had was mescaline infuckincredible, did purple microdot, saw diamonds coming out of the sky, these are long stories id need 4 web pages, ive had 1 bad trip in 30 years it was a great 30years,kids im not ADVOCATING DRUG USE,THIS WAS THE 60S AND 70S,NOW IT WILL KILL YOU.

  • youre preaching to the converted. peace.

  • @knight1768 lol

  • @knight1768 LOL funny

  • he says "as tenuous as cobweb" with such positive connotation... as author of MMGG, I would expect McKenna to be the first one to say "cobweb... shit, this sucks! get the hydrogen peroxide"

  • I always get nausea when I eat GroceryStoreShrooms, in an ayahuasca sort of way. It is medicine. I confront and interact with the anti-self traits and forces throughout and around me. We may wrestle for over an hour, but an understanding is reached, peace acheived, and from then for the next few hours these mushrooms and I share hours of Zen Mind in ecstatic living joy. I think God built us fully aware, but then dimmed the bulb to make things challenging.

  • @Epicpofunk Well said...

  • absolute genious.

  • ate some last night, and yep, i had an epiphany. i always do... 8)

  • BRILLIANT!

  • WHY DOES NOONE MENTION THAT YOU GET A LOT OF NAUSEA SOMETIMES FROM EATING MUSHROOMS.

  • @Lifter85 WOW THANKS DUDE

  • @captainmelvin ...how can you get rid of it though... do you know?

  • @Lifter85 Hm, I only had nausea the first time, but it went away after half an hour or so. I take them on an empty stomach and I try to always eat them fresh, that seems to help (the taste is better I think).

Sorry, don't know how to get rid of it.

  • @Lifter85 Just sit it out, I guess.

  • @Lifter85 Smoke a huge joint

  • 1 guy had broken speakers.

  • shattering

  • this is amazing

  • Enjoyable thoughts, but kinda thin on the evidence front...

  • I agree with Terence. Agriculture fucked everything up.

  • "...enzyme for cognitive activity..." :)

  • stupid question , im takn shrooms for the first time this week , do u just eat the caps or the caps and the stems?

  • @PUNKGETLIFTED crush them up into a powder and let them sit in lemon juice for about 20 minutes and then drink it

  • @PUNKGETLIFTED eat the whole shroom:) chew them up good:)

  • I'm tired of seeing this Neuropuke girl appear at the end of all the videos

  • can someone help me find the video where he talks about growing mushrooms and how the psilocybin gives you a front row seat by doing it yourself

  • Pay close attention to 1:42

  • I miss Terence very much. I met him in 1992, and he signed my copy of "Food of the Gods". We had a brief conversation about night skies and panspermia. I've read with relish and listened to nearly everything he has done. He has joined the ancestors, but he remains very much among us. We help carry the torch that he burned so brightly with humor and awe, every time we trip. *-_-*

  • @skymonk2012 god is not real, not even you.

One day you travel back in time? no, youll not be back where you was after your death ( before you were born?)

NO ,because at this point, youve never existed

  • Also nomadism as the ideal? Give all up benefits of agriculture and civilization to wander like our ancestors did? Without benefit of medicine, technology, education, science, art, religion? Use stone tools and once again fall victim to death from the tiniest infection? Spend most of our time starving and cold, with not but crude skins and fires to warm us? Forgive me, but compared to where we were even a 100 years ago we're better off, life ain't easy, but it beats being eaten by lions.

  • Except most anthropologists would argue that it was better tools and ease of scavenging, along with adding meat to the diet that helped propel us forward. We didn't have to work as hard, allowing more energy to go developing better brains that allow us to work together, not eating a poisonous mushroom. More over, mushrooms can do a lot a harm, go pick some random mushrooms and eat them, just random ones in the woods and tell me how harmless they are.

  • I miss Terence a lot.

  • I miss Terrence a lot.

  • I wanna fuck a donkey.

  • Comment removed

  • I love Mushrooms and couldnt agree more with Terrence McKenna

  • I wish he was still here.

  • Evolutionists now theorize the reason behind the evolution of a larger cranium size has to do with a slight change in the nucleotides that code for the size of the area in which the masseter muscle of the jaw is placed. The smaller size of this hole results in smaller muscle tissue which subsequently decreases the tension applied to the connective tissue attached to the skull, that is associated with the function of the series of muscle utilized for chewing.

  • @pythontricker

Could you link me to where you got this information? Not saying you are wrong, but I am highly interested in Evolution and would like to read more

  • @xxSpearMonkeyxx Terence Talks about it a lot in his talks. The science is there if you just search for psilocybin and evolution. He speculates that humans might have evolved into intelligence through the unintentional consumption of psychedelics (shrooms)

  • Comment removed

  • cool

  • He he, im sure there where social injustice before agriculture too, tribes and hierarchy etc

  • @TranshumanCyborg Genious comment. Think about it, everything that dies can then produce these magic mushrooms, and whats so certain about life? Death. Death is meant for living organisims to expand(my theory of evolution) due to the mushroom. It all makes perfect sense, the world works in miraculous harmony.

  • @Mavericks411991 Except there was death long before there was mushrooms, thats why wood used to petrify.

  • meh this stuff sounds way too good to be true

  • (0:10) " [shrooms] only live off dead matter "

better make that *mostly*. They live mostly off dead matter, saprophytic. (last time I checked,) Some (can) grow (partially) parasitic, and some use symbiotic exchange.

  • could you add english subtitles, please?

  • Much room!

  • His hostility towards civilization is childish.

  • @wda013 Makes no sense this is markes as spam.

  • @GreyAutumn Agreed. He leaves out all the benefits of structured society. After all... if we are to become more more intelligent as the mycelium seem to want (based on his theory) it only makes sense that we band together into larger and larger communities to share our collective brain power within a smaller space and thus improve our capacity for "larger" thoughts which in turn lead to greater achievements.

  • @flyingcricket1001

Very true. He agrees. His point is there is no society out there with a large footprint in which people have found his philosophy. They would be too peaceful to survive. It would be destroyed.

  • @GreyAutumn i agree

  • @GreyAutumn

I don't think he was being hostile. After listening to literally more than 40 hours of Terence audio he is not the type of guy who gets carried away with shortsighted anger. It sounded to me that he was just stating the shortcomings of civilization and criticizing it, but not hating it. His opinion,as is mine, is that civilization is a transformation process of the human species.

Although, one time hehad something ofan argumentwith one in the audience about his opinion on civilization

  • cannabis deveolped language/ word usage

  • @1010bree Evidence.

  • This guy is all well informed, and able to eloquently able to explain the 'mushrooms'.

This 'X' factor explanation is a little wayyyyyy to stretched to the babble context. This Terence is flying wayyyyyy too high.

Flesh of the gods yes, but, X factor??? Nah!

  • I will never regard a mushroom as just a mushroom again.

My next pot of chili will have a name. Something important.

  • That's for sure. Terence has such a soothing voice. And the subjects about which he speaks are utterly remarkable.

  • Fucking genius. Hero.

  • thank you

  • Thats a badass picture

  • Terrence, you sir, were a genius on so many levels.

  • I listen to him while being on mushrooms...

  • Heheh.. Mudvayne.ï
