  • Ok, here is some scriputre that illustrates that ONLY GOD can forgive sins:

Mark 2:2-4, Luke 5:18,19, Mark 2:6,7; Luke 5:21 Jesus asked these experts in the law whether it was easier to say a man is forgiven or to tell a paralyzed man to rise and walk. Of course, Jesus refers, not to the ease of SAYING the words, but to the ability to make them come true. Had He simply healed the man, they would have been amazed but would not have recognized that He was God in the flesh.

  • @videocircus

Numbers 15:28 - And the priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the one who commits an error, when it is unintentional, to make atonement for the person, who then shall be forgiven.

    -God the Father specking.

Jesus, was not a "Priest", though he acted like Priest by forgiving sin, The Jews were saying that hes not god, and since he was not a Levites, but rather of descent of David.

All of your links are the same incident, And by Jewish law they are correct.

  • @kevinjjfr You don't get it though, Jesus told the man to cheer up because his sins were forgiven. No mere human being, with God's approval, before or after Jesus, ever claimed to have the power to directly speak people's sins forgiven. Not even Peter (Acts 8:22). Such power is possessed, not by men, but only by God. Yet Jesus clearly claimed it, even in the presence of these doctors of the law, which means he was declaring himself GOD to these men who were questioning him.

  • @videocircus 2 Corinthians 2:10 (also 2:7) - If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven--if there was anything to forgive--I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake

Stated RIGHT THERE, forgiving of sins IN THE BIBLE. (By Paul if i remember correctly).

You IGNORE ever verse i give you which flat out and clearly states forgiveness of sins, 1) you don't know your bible well enough to know its the word of god, or 2) you don't want to know Jesus.

  • @kevinjjfr You are getting there, You see is what the Main Scripture you speak of means is that if WE forgive a person, then we can be forgiven. But if we can't forgive a person, then we are not right in our hearts with Christ. John 20 simply means that the breath of the Holy Spirit came upon the deciples to give in their hearts the ability to Forgive the sins of those who live in sin.....NOT to Litteraly forgive sins. But when we forgive , we in return are forgiven..

  • @videocircus Your a moron, And from your other comment above, CLEARLY insane. Good day.

-PS Why would Jesus tell them to forgive people....And give them power of Earth and Heaven? Please, Read John (all of it, just read the book) And never speak to me again until you do.

  • @kevinjjfr I am sorry you do not understand the Scriputures properly, perhaps it is because you do not actually have the Holy Spirit in you?

until you do we will never agree, as Christians and Catholics have always disagreed with interpretation of certain scriptures while agreeing with most of them at the same time.

Is what seperates the Christian Church from the Catholic church is really just a few scriptures. If it were not for that Catholics would be born again Christians.

  • @23GHLover You ask what has my pastor every done?

Well for starters he has taught the scripture and word of GOD as Christ intends it to be taught.

The Catholic church Violates scripture by taking part in Idolatry (the worship of Mary) and the praying to Mary. It also Violates scripture by teaching it's members that a Priest has the Authority to forgive sins, when scripture says GOD and GOD alone has the authority to do this. The Catholic church is guilty of Blasphemy against God

  • @videocircus No Catholic Worships Mary, Praying to dead people, if perfectly fine, ASK THE JEWS. You violate scripture by teaching that Priest don't have the power, and in fact the duty to forgive sin (John 20:23) NOW SCRAM PROTESTANT TROLL.

  • @kevinjjfr You can twist the scripture however you like, but you can't change how God intends us to understand it.

Catholics depend on one single scripture in John 20 to justify their man in the box, however one must take all scriputre into context when determining it's meaning and purpose. This is why Man does NOT have the power or Authority to forgive sins, God never granted this in John 20, you simply missunderstand it' because you read it out of context with other scripture.

  • @videocircus Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. -- James 5:16

Also see, Lev. 5:4-6; 19:21-22 Where Jewish Priest forgive sin,

And 2 Corinthians 5:18 -- All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of *reconciliation* (Our sacrament) .(All NIV, picked at random)

    And....2 Corinthians 2:10,

  • @videocircus To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; (last citation here).

As for "man not having the power" The power come from Christ, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” John 20:21

Please, look up all these quotes in your bible, read the passages they come from, and tell me, do you think i took them out of context?

    Pax Christi.

  • @videocircus (there are 3 posts, remember to start at the bottom)

-PM me if you would like to see more, i have lots, i'm a member of a Roman Catholic apologetic group made up of teenagers, and younger adults, Also, if you have a bible preference then feel free to state it, i own many different bibles.

  • @kevinjjfr NEW LIVING TRANSLATION IS MY PREFERENCE

The point here Kevin, is that in Catholicism the HOLY SPIRIT is absent in so many of it's followers. If you do not have the HOLY SPIRIT in you (which is litteraly alive and living) then you can't have a true an pure relationship with Christ. Catholicism is full of man made rituals and ceremonies that have nothing to do with God or Jesus, but instead have to do with human power and the ability to control a mass population through it

  • @videocircus Lol, good luck with that, "ON THIS ROCK (PETER) I WILL BUILD >> MY << CHURCH - Jesus.

He directly authorized the church us

AND THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL.

And he built us to last forever.

Were made up of rituals? -- Have you seen Judaism?!?!?!

Thats a connection to the Jewish people, YOU lack.

I notice your not saying that i took things out of context anymore....Want to prove me wrong, use your bible mate. I'm waiting.

  • @Lucciana27jan2009 IDIOTA

  • This Great Man would Today Be 90 years old.

  • CNN USED TO HAVE LIVE NEWS AT 12AM?

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THEM?

  • Jan Paweł na zawsze w naszych sercach nigdy nie zapomnimy

  • oh dear i love this conversationss!!!

  • @pbbp15 hes not a said. he's know as "the blessed" he's one step away from being a saint.

  • aleluya! he is a saint now, now he is going to be able to intercede for us more than ever =)

  • For me: SAINT John Paul II

  • it is a disgrace that an entire faith industry exists based on an imaginary sky-daddy. the resources that are wasted on religion should better be put to meaningful uses.

  • @ceejaywt

F you for saying the god doesnt exists..... If u dont believe then dont comment mean things on such a sad story..... Pope John Paul ll was a saint and always will be.....

  • why did they have a light on in his house when he was dying

  • @pogo506 i think that light symbolizes that Pope John Paul II was still alive at that time. when they switched the lights off, it symbolized that John Paul II has already died. well, that's what i heard. anybody, correct me if i'm wrong.

  • If we were evolved from a small cell how come we haven't evolved big bang is just a big lie

  • ugh...it would take millions of years genius...pls educate yourself

  • Comment removed

  • @studymon just because u don't believe in catholic faith it doesn't mean you have to mock it how would you like it if I teased your religion loser

  • catholicism is a false religion, Leave the catholic church and listen to what the BIBLE says!

  • @Studmon182 Like we would listen to you! You just love to insult people! May God have mercy on your soul!!

  • @Hyco1000 Listen to what the bible says. The 7 Sacraments are not needed to be saved. read what the bible says.

  • @Studmon182 It is impossible for someone to receive all 7 sacraments. so um in the way of trying to be smart your right.

  • @Studmon182 if you listen to what the Bible said you would'nt be able to leave the Catholic Church

  • I was confirmed the week before his passing.

Somehow I wasn't saddened by his death.

God bless John Paul the Great!

  • hot stuff :D

  • Pope John Paul II was a truly amazing person and a great servant to God. It was very sad when he died.

  • Benedict XVI isn't that much remarkable than John Paul II

  • @MrMiguelE

I suggest you to read "the light of the world" .

  • My little nephew, who happens to be my Godchild, thought that he was God. Well he and God are not that far off. This was an unforgetable kind man. Pope Benedict XVI just doesn't have that same presence as John Paul II.

  • God Bless him! He's truly with God and the angels & saints up in Heaven!

  • @MrRocha90 Only if you knew who he really was.

A Very Evil man ruling over a very Evil satanic occult relgion.

  • @MrRocha90 Unfortunately POPES are high degree freemasons in complete secret. They serve a power other than GOD, but use the name and image of God to cover over their true Character and Agenda. This agenda is quite Anti-Christ, which is ironic considering what a POPE is supposed to represent. I believe that the rise of the anti-Christ, which is prophesied in the book of revelations will come within or be a strong part of the Catholic Church. The POPE is Demonicaly Possessed .

  • you gotta wonder if the news announcer realizes that her words - that the pope has died - shook some people to their very core. my catholic grandmother made me realize that the pope isn't a celebrity... to some people, he is their very link to God.

  • they should make an onion news version of this. thumbs up if you're aware of this devout organization.

  • @quidnick No! Schmoyoho should auto tune this news clip!

  • @platinum243125 how dare you say that

  • He was a great man.

  • He was a twat. Lots of people died from aids due to the bullshit that he taught.

  • @ceejaywt God forgives you.

  • He doesn't even exist.

  • @ceejaywt Thats what you say, you think your just gonna rote in your grave... How were humans created huh?

  • We atheists know more than you christians. I was made from my parents and we evolved from monkeys .

  • @ceejaywt Were did monkeys come from?

  • Monkeys come from small mammals that survived KT extinction. (which killed the dinosaurs) However where did your God come from?

  • @ceejaywt Were did the small mammals and the dinosaurse come from?

  • Why did you ignore my question?

Also all creatures on earth evolved from single cell life. However if you want to know where the universe comes from the big bang.

  • @ceejaywt Lol bingbang ok were did the particals come from that made the big bang? God was always here (not logicle for a human brain thats the whole point). You think millions of people would just do somthing with no point?

  • All christians believe that BILLIONS of people do things for no reason. For example look at Hindus and Muslims, do you really think what they do is good? Also many christians do things that ARN'T christian WHY?

On the big bang their was a point of extream density and on a God, it would be FAR more complex to make one.

  • @ceejaywt Were did the point of extream density come from? What do you the Hindus and Muslims are doing?

  • In reverse order, I don't understand that question about Hindus and Muslims. On the first question scientists are still working on it.

But why do you need a God how on earth can a God be created? And if humans can't understand or question the nature of God then we would still be worshiping idols.

  • @ceejaywt Some things are logicle some things aren't. About the hindus and muslims i asked what do u mean by "do you really think what they do is good?".Not everything is based on logic. You know it would be better if i could show u not throw the internet but i cant. My friend time will tell. What about your opnion were did particals come from?

  • @masketkiller101 I don't know about where there the place that the big bang came from but simple elements which came from but I know more than a religious fool like you.

  • @ceejaywt Do you?

  • @masketkiller101 Of course I do, what has religion ever told us.

  • @ceejaywt Um hmmm were do you live?

  • @masketkiller101 U.K and what about yourself.

  • @ceejaywt Canada.

  • Asshole

  • @ceejaywt Even the Bible says no sexy before marriage so he was a "twat" for enforcing and teaching what the Bible Teaches and says? It is better to marry than to burn.

  • @rcarnes1988 No there is no such thing of hell! And even within marriage condoms protect people against STD's. The Bible is a load of crap and has caused so much suffering.

  • @masketkiller101

    He was a 'good' man

  • @acorntechnique "good"?

  • @masketkiller101

Yes he was a good man. A very good man and probably one of the best Popes the church has had in a long while.

  • @acorntechnique i know that, but why did u replay to me "he was a "good" man". :P
