Laatst een optreden gezien in alkmaar, was echt onder de indruk van het geluid van de dulcimer (had maar even gevraagd aan carlos wat dat in hemelsnaam voor instument was wat lindsley speelde). Jammergenoeg stopte ze al snel toen ik aankwam. En mijn excuses carlos, je had bijna niks gespeeld dus dacht die doet gewoon beetje begeleiding, tot ik je op youtube vamosia zag spelen en andere nummers van jullie. Jammer dat ik toen geen cd's had gekocht, heerlijke muziek die je raakt. Gr. Adsem ;-)

There other vids are amazing too....I like the use of a synth on a classic instrument, actually its a midi dulcimer, so it can use a synth.

It's a Dulcimer. Ussually played with little hammers like a piano, but one hammer per hand instead of mechanicly driven like a piano.

No, not usually played with hammers. There are two types of dulcimer -- the hammered dulcimer, shaped like a trapezoid with many strings, and a mountain dulcimer, which is similar to a guitar but with a diatonic fret pattern and fewer strings.
