@MrMurder96 Well, I am sorry, I should have said that they optimized their tests to work only on their phones. All 5 of them. And that is not a joke! How funny.
I suggest everyone to watch starting from 6:45. The WinPhone just crashed and never booted up again. As far as the other tests, MS did not implement HTML5 functionality correctly. All they did, was optimize it for their only phone. Great achievement!
@MoreKuree4U how? y wud u want to see pointless ads which slow down ur browsing speed? n watchin a youtube while browsing is kind of pointless to me. i rather see a non laggy fullscreen video
@RagingTeaBaggins I dont know about you, but i kind of like ads and some of them are informative for me.
but many sites still use flash player as their main form of navigating their site just because its easier to do and it looks nicer (with the exception of html5) also, I like to watch videos on other sites that require flash player besides youtube. but thats just me
@cooltechgeeks I have one dude, it's pretty awesome. Only problem I have is some landscape mode inconsistencies. Try and find one for cheap on eBay if you can't get the one on contract.
@gzfelix They're written in HTML5, which as far as I'm aware Microsoft didn't create. The tests are made to be hardware intensive, so all this proves is that IE9 is really powerful.
@HammeredAndHorny More solidly made because they are not open source, freely modified software.
WP7 & iOS are developed by the respective companies in order to function the way they feel it should, whereas Android can be manipulated to suit users preference far more than the other operation systems.
I have both Android & WP7 and have to agree that WP7 is more solid and perhaps more reliable, although so far nothing compares to Android for customisation and personalisation.
@rusconi11 Yep, Android is really fit for the tinkerers. Your average guy won't be pleased with the low quality apps and all the glitches that a stock Android phone has. I don't know anyone who's had Android for more than one contract, and it's because it's still unrefined, two years later. But I get that customization is it's thing, and shouldn't expect Google to change much. Either way, I've got WP7 and have been 100% satisfied.
Microsoft has just proved that you don't need a dual-core 2Ghz processor in your phone to get good performance. It's all in the software and how it's written.
AHHH!!! Could you please do some real internet pages that people would actually go to? No one uses HTML5 (yet) so I think that many would like to see real world comparisons. I don't know any website that uses HTML5 and I think many don't even know what it is. So please do a real internet comparison using actual sites people would go to. As well as a comparison between Mango and Nodo. Thankyou!
@SamuraiM0 Only -fags go around calling other people -fags. And nothing can be called a standard if if you have to use the word "yet" in reference to it.
¨This is pretty interesting. I tried all the same tests on my SGS II, and the WP7.5 build had it beat on everything except the fish tank one. Where it eventually clocked at 30fps.
It wouldn't play the video on the panorama, the game was running smooth but without sound, graphics on the chart thingy wouldn't show, and text wouldn't animate etc. Though it did geotag.
This is pretty interesting. Everything I've seen from Mango so far looks absolutely STELLAR. Give me a dual-core Nokia, now!!
@bconover93 He's talking about the hardware. didnt you listen to him. The Focus uses a SNAPDRAGON processor. Sound familiar? its been used in a bunch of Android devices in the past.....that's what he's talking about. snapdragon=old.
@igeekone I totally agree. There was once a microsoft presentation which favored the IE9 in speed before chrome in case of microsofts proper html5 test page .... How amazing!
my 3gs with iOS 5 = 37 FPS ;)

@rivengle so what if html5 is the future? that doesnt help me now. html5 is nice, but flash player is still a big part of the web.

Not liking how switching tabs requires an extra step. Going to be a pain when you constantly switch tabs (like me)

Lol, Android is still shitty... Glad I ditched it. iOS and WP7 are, IMO, the most solidly built OS's out right now.

html5 is already the standard, and no not all site's have it yet but more and more daily change to it!
It's faster, saver and works better! and as you may see wp7 already supports it 100%

Of course the Microsof tests will favor the their own product. Remember HTML 5 and CSS3 are not finalized so take these test with a grain of salt.

I have 3 things to say for these tests.
1. I love how Apple pushed HTML5 so hard over flash, yet it runs like garbage, if it ever loads.
2. Microsoft bulit thoes HTML5 demos for the WP7 phone so they better fun fastest on that phone or we would have a problem.
3. CSS3 is not the standered yet so you can't dock Android for not auporting it yet.
